breakfast ideas - in hotel room

money saving ideas for breakfast. Or for our case also time saving. We generally have granola bars, pop tarts and cereal in the ready to serve boxes. Citrus fruit and apples stay well without refrigeration. Milk, juice and rolls (we were at POFQ last trip so begniets) can be bought at the food court.

I usually walked over to get the supplemental stuff while my wife finished getting ready.

Muffins, cinnamon rolls, danish. The new cin./raisin Bagelfuls are so yummy, but would require a cooler with ice, they don't need to be frozen, but do need to be refrigerated.

We took our own disposable bowls and utensils. We took packs of oatmeal and grits for the kids for breakfast. There are microwaves that you can use in the food court! We also took cereal and bought milk in the food court a few times. If you don't need a huge breakfast or have an early lunch planned, muffins or honey buns can be an option too.

We stuck with Pop Tarts, packaged coffee cakes and those single serve 4 packs of fruit. For drinks we brought juice boxes and choc milk boxes and just put them in the ice bucket at night before we went to bed. We did get the mugs but DH went down and got 2 coffee & 2 tea every morning. (DH and I love our coffee & tea!) The kids were fine with the juice. But we didn't do this every morning, just the ones we wanted to get out fast & early!

Ya, I plan to get the mugs too :thumbsup2
what kind of juice do they offer for re-fils?

Well, they did have apple juice in the POP food court for the mugs. Which is what DS's had when we did actually go down to breakfast. DH & I had our caffeine .... If the kids had wanted soda for breakfast, I probably would've let them have it .. after all, it's only a weeks vacation, they aren't going to shrivel up from having soda with breakfast! Younger DS always got a kids meal which he got milk with also, then had the apple juice in his mug. Older DS had a great affinity for the breakfast pizza .. as did I! He didn't usually get a drink besides the apple juice. That was good enough for him. He usually got chocolate milk with his meals the rest of the day.
