Breakfast - Crystal Palace

Hello everyone

i just had a review on our planning for our upcoming vacation.

I saw, we had planned to visit on our first day the christal palace.
We got 8.30am. The park opens at 9.00am.

So i asked my self, will we make it? We will stay at OKW without a car, using the Disney-busses.

Is there a chance to make it? Should i change the time? And if we will late, will they give away our reservation??



Maybe, someone could give me some advice

No worries they will not give away your reservation if you show up within a reasonable amount of time. During one of our visits we showed up a half hour late due to transportation problems and the CMs at the restaurant said they knew it is sometimes difficult to be on time and will do anything to help you out.

Buses start running at 7am, sometimes earlier. There are MK buses running before 8am to take guests to character breakfasts at the different parks.

If you are concerned about RD being at 9am, you will more than likely miss it. Usually Crystal Palace is about a 45 minutes to an hour meal.

FYI--at your resort's bus stop there is always a guy/girl with a walkie talkie (he/she is a dispatcher for the buses) and if you show up early and notice that there is no MK buses to be found, talk to that CM and they can always radio for one to come to OKW or find out what the hold up is.

Have a great time....we LOVE eating at Crystal palace for breakfast it is a must do for us

I think the buses run an hour before the park opens. can you drive?

We have lost reservations after being 15 minutes late. It all depends on the restaurant, how crowded their reservations are and the mood of the CM in charge.

OKW does not have a person at their multiple bus stops with walkie talkies.

We have found the character bus situation at the DVC resorts to be sketchy; sometimes they are there and sometimes they are not.

We usually take a taxi. If you call for a taxi at OKW, you will probably need to go to the Hospitality House to get one. If you go this route, have the cab driver drop you at the Contemporary Resort and walk to MK from there. If you tell the cab driver that you want to go to MK, they will drop you at the TTC and you will then have to wait for the monorail.

Ooops my bad, we never stayed at OKW, I just assumed that all the resorts had the dispatcher there in the morning .....we all know what assuming does .

We had breakfast ADRs at both tusker house and crystal palace last year and had no problems getting to them from OKW. We just make sure that we are up in enough time to get there and if in doubt go to the bus stop at the HH at least there are CMs there that can help if needed.

We have never got to our table even close to our time at Crystal Palace we normally have to wait a while. Meal time can also last a while think its at leat an hour to see all the characters and we always for some reason have to wait ages for pooh.
