Okay, this is really a little vent, but why does the Value/Mods resorts have better breakfast options than some of the Deluxe resorts? :confused3

I was just reading a TR and saw POP had breakfast pizza and breakfast wraps at their food court for breakfast. Why is the YC/BC marketplace lacking in hot food options for breakfast!?!?:confused3 I saw a photo of their egg sandwich - the egg looked like a sponge! YUCK!

What hot options does the BW Bakery have besides their egg panini?? :confused3

In June at the GF we were able to get breakfast platters at Gasspie's Grill, is there really no place to get a breakfast platter or mickey waffle at the BC/YC/BW besides a sitdown restaurant?? How can this be???

Do I really have to go into Epcot or DHS just to get a hot breakfast at a c/s????

Where does everyone eat breakfast when staying at the YC/BC/BW and don't tell me your frying your own eggs in your villa! :rotfl2:

Because deluxe resorts have their own table service restaurants. If you're staying there -- Disney would prefer that you spend your money (more money) in the table service restaurants.

That is not necessarily true about the deluxe resorts. The Polynesian has Captain Cooks and Saratoga Springs has Artist Pallette and you can get several types of hot breakfast at both.

Getting back to the original question the Boardwalk Bakery has breakfast panninis and that is it. Other than that there really isn't too much. I agree it is one of the drawback about those hotels because the lunch options are not that great either.

We usually pack breakfast bars then eat early lunches, at the parks or DTD, and dinners and a snack after dinner if we are out late.

I was really responding to the question about the breadth of choices at the value / mod food courts vs. the more limited selections at the deluxe counter service locations. That is true -- people who have stayed at places like Pop often are very disappointed in the quick service locations at the deluxe resorts -- just because there are fewer choices at all meals. Personally, I've been satisfied with most of the deluxe quick service places I've been to -- Poly, WL, AKL, SSR.

Sorry, I misunderstood. I do agree Disney probably wants us to spend more money on the sitdown restaurants. I also think that since BW often has conventions the breakfast is probably included. I also wonder if the amount of DVC rooms as compared to regular rooms has something to do with it, because DVCers will many times have breakfast in their rooms. Having never stayed at the values, I can't comment on their food court choices but will say that we enjoyed the food court at POFQ when we stayed there in 2004. I will add that at AKL, The Mara is one of the best food courts of the deluxes but I think that is because AKL is so far away from everything else.
