Do they have non-breakfast items? Like the princess and Chef Mickey character breakfasts? I am NOT a breakfast person and wonder what my options will be...

Sometimes you can request different food..
Just don't push it I guess.

IMHO, I don't think a breakfast buffet, let alone going out to breakfast is worth it with the prices and all in WDW

basically it's a lot of breakfast items... There is usually lots of fresh fruit available, as well as yogurt...made to order omelets are generally an option (though eggs are "breakfast" food you can at least customize them somewhat.) A lot of the buffets have some sort of breakfast casserole or breakfast pizza type food that's a little less like breakfast and more brunch-type food.

There's always toast and bagels if you'd rather go plain-Jane breakfast...but that would be a bit expensive for $20 toast, lol.

While I agree it's an expensive breakfast, if you're going for characters, it's cheaper than the other character meals & worth it to me to avoid standing in lines in the heat/sun to see characters. And some of the breakfast buffets are quite good (Boma is outstanding, though it's not a character meal...and they have a number of non-traditional/non-american breakfast items there that might tempt you.)

The only one I've found (and liked) is Donald's Breakfast at Tusker House. I'm not a breakfast eater and this one had some non-traditional items and I enjoyed the food. The others, not so much.

We've found lots traditional & non-traditional items at most of Disney's breakfast buffets. (Ricotta breakfast pizza, cheese blintzes, & rice crispy treats at Chef Mickey, smoked salmon & carved ham at 1900 Park Fare, curried sausage & biscuits at Boma are a few of our faves). What types of foods do you like the most? With an idea of your favorite foods, we might be able to give you better suggestions.

Have you checked out the menus here and on All Ears? They usually list the food that are "generally" available. Most of them have some sort of hand-carved meats, biscuits, salmon and bagels. You can probably find something you like, but make sure you check out the menus first.

Or, go for a late breakfast reservation and just nibble until they start putting out the lunch food. That happened at Crystal Palace for us with an 11:20 reservation.

I think for a non-breakfast eater, a problem you might have beyond just the types of foods is that your body isn't used to eating first thing in the morning. My kids and I don't eat big breakfasts so if we do pre-RD breakfasts, we really can't eat much of else we feel kind of sick. For breakfast buffets, we try to get one of the last breakfast seatings so it's more of a brunch.

As to what foods are served, there's generally a pretty good variety. As somebody else suggested, take a look at the menus online at wdwinfo or allears.

If you don't like breakfast foods, I would definitely do lunch instead. Lunch is cheaper than dinner and probably has more options that you would like. Not all places are going to offer lunch, but several of them do. Check it out and see if that will work. I actually love breakfast food, just not at breakfast time. :) I feel yucky if I eat very much food that early in the morning. We opted for eating the latest breakfast time available and we'll count it as our lunch for the day. Good luck.
