Just wondered if when you go to breakfast you can grab some items and take it back out with you to much on the way to the park or is this frowned upon as they think you are taking items out for lunch?

My mate was thinking about taking a croissant/roll into the park with her for munching on later but we don't want to be told off at bag check for having food items in our bags.

Don't think you have to worry about that! Everyone does that... we've done it before ourselves - we were even prepared and brought some food plastic bags with us on our last trip ;) . You can see others meticulously preparing cheese/ham rolls at their breakfast tables and wrapping them up nicely. Sometimes they provide fresh fruit as well (not in fruit salad form) and others nick them too.

There's also a water tap (usually near the juices) and people usually fill up their water bottles as well. Quite embarrassing for us - esp when there're people queueing up behind me wanting ONE glass of water - and I'm there filling up two 2-litre bottles :rotfl: .

I do take items out for lunch and snacks. We lived off pain au chocolates when I couldn't be bothered making up rolls!

Nobody notices or seems to care and the staff are too busy anyway to spy on me and my sandwich bags.

We also took fruit and cereal bars with us which security saw in our bags at the entrance but they seemed fine with it.

I normally take a roll or croissant, as I go for the 7am breakfast, and after a few goes on dumbo and Space mountain first thing in the morning, a roll is very helpful in settling my stomach!

It isnt really allowed but i think most people sneak out the odd roll or two.

I'm shocked!!!:scared1: :scared1:

:rotfl: ;) ;) ;)

Nah everyone does it...if you don't then you are a one off!!!:lmao:

I feel so left out, we didn't anything from the buffet for later in the day.

I will have to take double next time :thumbsup2

I personally wouldn't do it, but I know a lot of people do.

I think a couple at the table next to us went too far though: She bought over about 12 bread rolls, and he got a platter of the cooked meats, and they sat and made of loads of sandwiches and tipped them into their rucksacks!! I was appalled at that, I must say.

Blimey that's a bit much, I was thinking more of a couple of pastries

Wow, I wouldn't be so greedy!!!

Seems no one will notice too much then if she has an extra pastrie to eat later then.

As I'm asking for gluten free food at Breakfast I've no idea what I'll get but I wasn't going to leave any gluten free cakes around if offered them!!

Guess that is why the cheese changed from slices to cubes ;)

I know many hotels as part of beach holiday packages have signs saying that any food removed will have to be paid for :)

I have seen people doing that too, but i usually dont, i just stuff myself there so i dont feel to eat anything for a long time then :rotfl:

Wow, that's a bit much!! We "only" took four (pain au chocolat/plain croissant) - one for each of us, just for a mid-morning snack.

We saw that happening as well. I think thats really not on as its breakfast thats included not lunch as well - DH collected breakfast for us all on a couple of days to bring back to the room but told them what he was doing.

We also saw a group of 2/3 families unpacking their picnic of what appeared to be breakfast 'leftovers' in Cafe Hyperion which they proceeded to eat and feed their hundred children with whilst watching the Lion King show taking up 2 large tables and without buying a thing not even a drink from the cafe. Dont know how they got away with it.

That is disgusting, i can understand 1 bread roll etc but not enough to feed the whole cast of the Lion King.

I guess some people really do go on a budget. :confused3

Thats ridiculous!! Did no CM's see them??

We saw the same thing happen another day (Robert just reminded me!) where another family (Of six!) all went and got a plate of something different... One got bread, one got meat, one got cheese, etc.... One even just got a plate of Nutellas, butter and jam... They then proceeded to divide it up between their rucksacks....! They'd even brought sandwich bags for putting meat and cheese into, so it was obviously planned! The mother even made the kids (Two of them) go and fill their wideneck flasks with juice!! Now I think about it I don't know how a CM didn't clock onto what they were doing.... About five tables of people were just sat glaring at this family!!
