Breakfast Buffet

we are always on a tight budget ,but Ive never had the guts to take anything from the buffets (im 45 but im sure my mum and dad would frown on it )im sure they know people do this ,but as long as folks are not two greedy ,no harm is done and i im a suc ker for those pain au chocolat

Don't get me wrong, i'm always on a budget and i see no harm in taking the odd roll etc i have done it myself. I just find it shocking that some people take it to the extreme.
I really could eat a pain au chocolat now actually ....yummmy!!

I raise my hand and confess to being someone who makes their lunch from breakfast and yup...i go completely provided with sandwich bags, thing is we eat breakfast but not huuuge amounts we just like some cereal or fruit, so i figure the bread rolls/fillings i would have eaten at breakfast can be saved for later and I never bother with the pastries as that is what my Salon Mickey card is for

However yes I admit I make my lunch from breakfast, where there's a large self serve buffet there is free lunch.

We always take one or two bread rolls for the ducks on the lake.

I never even thought of doing that, Josh loves feeding the ducks. Knowing him though, the whole roll would be thrown at the duck and we would get a bill for it. Get it BILL, hahahahahaha.

Orion33, I'm the same as you. I have my breakfast SO early at Disney the eating really is the last thing I want to do. I can barely manage half a croissant at 7am! So taking a roll for later still means I'm eating WAY less than they allow for each person when they put the breakfasts out. hence my lack of guilt/shame.

The main reason I don't make my lunch there (other than it wouldn't be very nice 6 hours later in my squashed rucksack, is that then I wouldn't have an excuse for a mickey pizza and brioche!! Hee hee hee! In fact maybe I wont steal a roll for my 10 o'clocksies and just start on the pizzas early!

I think the thing is if you take one or two things for the kids its ok....or for yourselves...but to pack rucksacks is a bit much.....and I'm not contradicting myself as that time I packed a bag was because there was loads of kids in our party and no other mug took a bag!!! I can still feel the shame burning!!!

We travelled by coach with Leger last March it was the VIP Press weekend and the previous weekend the Travel Industry had been invited over.
The Leger rep gave a small talk to us on the coach on how things worked at the park, etc. and made a plea to everyone not to take food from the breakfast.
She said that she had been appalled to see the way the Travel Agent guests had behaved the week before, filling their bags and flasks from the table. As she pointed out there was a time when cheese and ham was sliced, that was changed to cubed to try and deter this sort of thing.
The thing is if too many people abuse the system, we all suffer from changes brought in to compensate.
