Breakfast Buffet Suggestion

My sister just called me and asked for some advice. She and her husband (both 28) are going to WDW at the end of September and are on the DDP. They would like to do one Breakfast Buffet and don't have a preference about characters. They are planning on being in EPCOT that day, any suggestions or recommendations?

There are no breakfast buffets in Epcot that I can think of but there is a family style meal at the Princess breakfast at Akershus in Norway. However, I doubt that you will have much luck getting a ressie this close to your trip. I called at the 180 day mark for my December trip and this was the hardest ressie for me to get. I think there is also a buffet at the Beach Club, which is an Epcot resort, the Cape May Buffet.

Thanks golden! Anyone try to yacht Club Galley Buffet breakfast or the Cape May Cafe? Is it any good?

They could always go the Contemporary and eat at Chef Mickey's or at the Grand Floridian and use the monrail to get to Epcot.

The best breakfast we had in WDW was at Boma. Soooooo good. If they want the best food they should go to Boma. If they want characters, maybe 1900 Park Fare?

A breakfast buffet..well probably Boma..it is quite good.

Now, if they want a good breakfast, closer to EPCOT..tell them to head over to Spoodles. I believe they do have one entree..like a breakfast platter type thing that comes all you can eat..so could be a good option for them if they like a lot of food.

My first thought was to recommend 1900 Park Fare at the GF since EPCOT is on the monorail, but I have never been there for breakfast, so I wasn't sure how it was.

Do you think they would waste too much time going from POFQ to Boma and then Boma to EPCOT?

I would also recommend Spoodles for breakfast. It is not a buffet, however you can get an “All You Care to Eat” Spoodles Breakfast Platter. As I recall they have scrambled eggs, breakfast potatoes, French toast, bacon, sausage and a basket of really good pastries. It was around $10-11, and then you can walk into Epcot through the International Gateway.

Cape May Cafe has a great breakfast buffet.

I agree that Cape May has one of the best breakfast buffets in the "world". Then if they will be in Epcot, they can either walk off the food, or grab the boat over there. It makes it nice and easy. They have a great selection and the food is awesome. My kids love this one. The characters are dressed in their swimsuits. I think (last time I was there) there is Chip and Dale, Goofy, Pluto and Minnie, but they may have changed.

PF has an amazing breakfast. It's one of my favorites and must do's every year.

We LOVE Cape May Cafe! It's a must-do for every trip we take (it helps that we always stay at the YC or BC! Minnie, Goofy, Chip and Dale are at that breakfast and there's such a huge selection of breakfast foods

We also do love the YC Galley-they do not have a character meal, but they have a la cart breakfasts as well as the buffet....

I agree with 1900 park fare. then they could take the monorail to EPCOT. GREAT food, good character interaction

I agree, Cape May Cafe is great, especially if they plan to do Epcot that day. It's an easy walk from the Beach Club

Thank You for all your replies! I just got off the phone with my sister and she said she made a ADR for Cape May Cafe at 9:10am. She appreciates all of your suggestions as well!! ( I read them all to her on the phone)

Maya Grill at CSR! They have an awesome buffet and the best coffee in the whole WDW resort......yes, it beats Kona! They serve from 7 a.m. - 11 a.m. daily and it's $13.95/adult, $8.95/child 3-9. The choices were widely varied and quite tasty. No characters, but at 7:30am, I just wanted coffee! Maggie

DD and I ate at 1900 Park Faire on 8/3. The food was great, and the character interaction was only OK. I was kind of surprised by that, because the place was *empty*. We had an 8:50 ressie, and wound up being 30 minutes late (I was so embarrassed!). But it totally didn't matter as we waited literally 10 seconds for a table. Alice spent some time with us, but Tigger only spent enough time for a quick pic with DD. It wasn't a big deal (DD is 12 and didn't care about the characters), but it was a small bummer for me. Pooh never came around, even though we were in 'his' line of sight and were seated next to the door the character enter and exit. Oh well. Perhaps if DD had been little it would have been different. Maybe they figured she was too old for interaction?

But the food was great and I would certainly go again for the buffet. I've read that the dinner buffet is even better.
