Breakfast Buffet/Sit-down Breakfast-Pros/Cons

We always did the Topsiders breakfast - even the last day( with exception of the character breakfast). There is something about eating in the fresh air with the ocean around you. Will do the same thing next year when we cruise again.

...eating at Topsider's in the morning and sitting out on the open deck was a perfect way to start the day! The sun is not as hot that early in the day, the air is fresh, and you can go back and get more of whatever you want. And I LOVE THAT COFFEE THEY HAVE (that's another post, but I couldn't help myself!!):D

We either had room service or went to the buffet and brought it back to the room...we loved eating outside on the verandah!

Just thought I'd mention - if you don't want tablemates at breakfast, they can seat you alone. Just ask! I am not a morning person, but we like a served breakfast sometimes. I'm sure the other cruisers were happy not to have to sit with grumpy me :)

I agree about Topsiders... I love being in the open air for B-fast.

BTW, I know this is probably 'buried' in a topic somewhere here, but when they bring you room service food, should I tip the server then or will there be an envelope for that person at the end of the cruise?

Oh, is it just pasteries for room-service b-fast? (I guess I'll have to look around for a menu somewhere)

Thanks again...

There aren't envelopes provided for tipping room service. You would tip them when they deliver the food. Be sure to take along some ones for this! We usually tipped $2-$4 depending on how much we ordered.
