Hi can anybody tell me what breakfast is like at Whispering Canyon? I am looking for somewhere to use up Table service credit on our last morning at WDW and Wilderness Lodge is somewhere we have never been for a look round. Also we have a voucher to use for the hire of a searacer and i would like to do this on the lake by MK and so this seems to tie in nicely. Whispering Canyon isn't somewhere I would particularly have chosen otherwise for breakfast, so just wondered if you think it is worth it?

Whispering Canyon is one of my favorite breakfast places! It's a lot
of fun, and a real bargain at WDW!

Thanks Tumbleweed. What makes it fun? Do they do the crazy stuff that I have heard they do at dinner?

Yes, same crazy fun stuff that is done at dinner, they also do at breakfast. And the Breakfast Skillet is delicious. Has eggs, bacon, sausage and waffles. Not sure if I am forgetting anything. But we had this with a side order of grits w/cheese! And we don't normally get up to do breakfasts like this. DD had french toast w/a cinnamon drizzle and loved it. I can't wait to go to this place again for breakfast, dinner whatever. But as far as using a TS credit on it, we didn't for breakfast. Prices very reasonable, IMO. popcorn::

Ohhh WCC breakfast is yummy! We liked it even more than dinner. They did a few of the things they do at dinner, but it was a bit more relaxed (at least when we were there) I think that from now on, we'll be going to WCC for our last breakfast at WDW. :)

Here's a pic of the skillet for you to enjoy

Whispering Canyon Cafe for breakfast is great! I've been there for breakfast and lunch, and it's just as crazy in the morning. The skillet is also really good. You just have to make sure to come on an empty stomach because they keep refilling it as much as you need.

I posted a breakfast review up in Disney Dining Reviews (scroll up just a bit, you'll find it), complete with pictures.

Short version - we loved it. It was voted "Most Fun Meal" by all 4 of us. We liked it so well the first time that we ate there again at the end of our trip.

I have a question... do they bring one skillet for the whole table and refill as needed, or does each person get their own skillet and they refill each person individually????

thanks..

When we did the dinner skillet a couple of us wanted it and there was just one skillet with plenty of refills. And the same for the breakfast with us, too. popcorn::

From the Wilderness Lodge you have a few TS breakfast options:

Closest: Whispering Canyon Cafe
Nearby: Trails End buffet at Fort Wilderness campground
Boat Ride: Chef Mickey's at the Contemporary (can rent Sea Raycer there)

After our fantastic Chef Mickey's breakfast we decided to take the boat to Ft. Wilderness for the pony rides there. The first stop was Wilderness Lodge and we decided get off to take a look around. Well due to rain we ended up hanging out there for a while and never got to Ft. Wilderness! Its on the list for our next trip.

oooooo....that looks GOOD! Is that gravy in the container??? That does not look like the gravy I had at CSR last year (which was horrid). That actually looks good...

There have been whole threads about how bad the biscuits and gravy are at WDW restaurants...is it different at WCC?

Has anyone ever had an issue getting a table for breakfast as a walk-up. That is the one meal I prefer NOT to made ressies for. Some of the people we are going with are not reliable to be ready on time....

Yup that's gravy! We liked the biscuits and gravy..but I don't know if it's different than what's offered elsewhere. The only other place we had biscuits and gravy was Crystal Palace, and we liked them there too.

We made a ressie, but I don't think you'll have a problem getting in. When we were there last month it wasn't terribly crowded. I guess it depends on what time of year you go.

When we had breakfast there last year, the cook was slow. So, our waitperson brought out extra, extra bacon, nice and crisp...no complaints. We enjoyed the bacon while we waited for the rest. We all loved our breakfast there.
