Breakfast at Tusker House when AK opens at 8am

Animal Kingdom will be opening at 8am on the day we plan on going (this is a regular day, morning EMH will be 7am the day before). Would you book the Tusker House breakfast for 8am, 9am or 10am? If the park opened at 9am the choice would be a little easier for me

Every trip I like to book a couple of character breakfasts that work out like "brunches" by getting as close to the last seating as I can. That way we still get to do prime time early touring and I still get to eat breakfast foods.

We are in the same situation as you for our May trip. We have a 10:30 ADR at Tusker House with an 8:00 a.m. opening. I wouldn't want to make it any earlier and give up those less crowded hours eating. The only time I do an early breakfast is if I can get a reservation before the park opens early enough to be done by rope drop.

Thank you for your reply. Looks like we will be at WDW around the same time. I think Star Wars weekends over at HS may have something to do with AK opening at 8am on Sundays in May, maybe they are anticipating a lot of people hopping between AK and HS on those days because of the SWW crowds? Just my guess. Taking that possibility into consideration, I agree with your suggestion for the later breakfast time. If we have a later breakfast we wouldn't have to spend time waiting in lines for lunch and we would get a lot of touring done before 10am.

Enjoyed our early breakfast at Tusker House on our last visit, so planning on another this October! There was 16 in our party that time and we had a little area to ourselves. The kids were in heaven with the characters visits. Magic Memories!

On May 31, we have an ADR at Tusker House at 10:30. Park opens at 9am though. I try to get this seating since it allows us to spend an hour or so doing stuff early on. Then a late breakfast and no need to do lunch..just an early dinner.
