Does having breakfast inside the parks allow you to gain entrance early? I have reservations at the Crystal Place one morning at 8am, does it make sense to book a breakfast at Epcot, AK or DS in order to "be there first"?

We enjoy the empty quiet parks, if you're able to get there and be an early riser! Do it!

Crystal Palace - MK
Tusker House _AK
Akershus-Norway- Epcot

We went to the Boardwalk early on our DHS day and walked to the studios as the park restaurants did not appeal to us.

Yes if you have breakfast in the parks you get in before it opens. They will ask you for your name (in a seperate line) than the regular line and you will get to go ahead in and head to your breakfast location :)

Have fun!

Well, in my opinion, not really. If you book breakfast at Epcot, you won't gain any lead time for things like getting the Soarin' fastpasses. People make a big deal out of being in the Magic Kingdom early in order to get some great photos of the castle from a nearly deserted Main Street USA.

I would say sure, why not book some extra early breakfasts? Regardless of what park it is, it's always nice to have those photos with an empty (or near empty) park, especially if you are going during a busy time. Things that you want to get a good picture of you won't have to battle everyone walking around you (and in front of you!).

Just make sure the morning you book your adr for is a non-emh day (morning) for that park or you will be entering the park along with everyone else.

Thanks so much for all the suggestions! I think we'll try Tusker House at AK, non EMHs though!

We love getting an 8am ADR inside the park before rope drop at 9am. First it saves you one trip driving or taking the bus since you're already at the park eating. You get to take some pictures of the castle, Mickey's hat, etc with minimal crowds in the background. It's a fun way to start the day eating bfast with characters.

However, you are not free to roam the park before 9am rope drop. At CP, they'll hold you right at the end of main street until rope drop.
