If we wanted to use our dining plan to eat breakfast at the parks at counter service or snacks, where would you suggest? (I'm confused about snacks. The only item listed on the Disney brochure that I would consider breakfast food for a snack would be the fruit. It sounds like there are other items at the restaurants that count as snacks than what is listed on the brochure???? Are those just examples? (In your experience, of course, I know you can't answer for Disney.)

Also, while I realize this would take some time, would it take a lot of time (i.e. bad lines at that time)? We're going during the middle of January.

I made advance reservations at the breakfast buffet at our hotel (Coronado Springs) in case we need to use them, but I don't know that we want to eat a buffet every morning or that we want to use our table service or pay out of pocket for it or another meal.

ABC Commissary at Disney Studios had a nice little breakfast platter - pancakes (3), sausage and bacon, plus juice or milk. One CS breakfast.

We found that most pastries were considered snacks, and used most of our snack credits for croissants, etc. for breakfasts. We did find that it was much easier to get breakfast items at the resort as the places in the parks were really crowded and had long lines.

I would honestly suggest that you not waste precious early morning park time to sit down and eat (even at the luscious bakery) First, the lines get out of control, second, the later in the morning, the longer to wait for attractions. I suggest you eat breakfast and get to the park (whichever one you want) before opening (30 min). You could have a food court breakfast first, or even use things like pop parts and granola bars in the room. (many ppl do this to save time) Have fun, whatever you decide. :thumbsup2

we just returned from 7 days and actually did not eat a "breakfast" until our last day before we checked out. All week we had pop tarts or cereal bars while waiting for the buses or mid morning after we got into the park. We would get a counter service after riding a few of the big rides and then had sit down ADRs around 6ish every night. By the time we finished for the evening we had all seen more than enough food and another reason we never wanted any thing big for breakfast.

We generally eat breakfast 2-3 times while we are there and those are the character dinings (TS). The other days, we just bring in snacks or grab something from the hotel on the way out.

I'm not fond of most of the CS for breakfast, although we've never been to the bakeries...which I will do next trip.
