I've searched high and low, but can't find anyone mentioning how breakfast is at the Rainforest Cafe in AK. Does anyone have any experience/advice for it? I noticed they have Tonga Toast on the menu and wondered how good it is.

Thanks for any info!!

DS and I had breakfast at RFC at AK summer 07, when ds was 8. I had the Breakfast of Bandits for adults and he had the children's version. The food was delicious, but way, way, way too much food!!! We both said that we should have just ordered the 1 adult meal and shared it.

DS enjoyed the restaurant at that hour (8am) as we almost had it all to ourselves. We entered the park through a special entrance and we enjoyed that a lot. No crowd at all as we entered the park right at 9am.

I think breakfast at AK was wonderful. We did not have the Tonga Toast, though.

I was surprised to see that this restaurant actually offered breakfast! Disney seems to be doing its best to eradicate most sit down breakfasts (in favor of food courts and character buffets), but my family enjoys a normal, sit down, table service breakfast now and then. Kona Cafe is always a favorite, but its great to know that Rainforest Cafe serves breakfast as well. According to wdwinfo, it looks like it is served until 10 AM. Once the schedule comes out for December and we find out EE days, perhaps we will make plans to go to AK, hit some rides, and then as the park opens to everybody else, have breakfast.

Plus, this is our first Disney trip with kids--(almost 3 and 7 months)--I think they will love RC.

DH and I had breakfast there in Jan '09. I do believe there was only 2 or 3 other tables there. The food was pretty good (not one of the best breakfasts I have had, but still good and they do give large portions). I had never been to a RFC and was excited, but it was kind of weird feeling eating there without many people. I was also disappointed that we were sat at one of the first tables in the middle (near the fish tanks and the elephants). We didn't really get a chance to look around. Anyway, I'm sure your family would enjoy breakfast there - great way to start off your AK day! :thumbsup2

I've eaten breakfast at RFC a few times and I love it. The eggs benedict and the tonga toast are delicious. You get a lot of food and it is rarely crowded. In fact, when I wanted to make a breakfast ADR for 9am, the CM told me that she didn't know that RFC even served breakfast:lmao:. We ended up not making and ADR and just showing up. It was empty...maybe 5 other tables.

We have a breakfast at RFC on our list of "must do's" every trip...that, and breakfast at Boma before going home!
