Breakfast at Kona.....let's grab a table!!

Thanks for breakfast in bed Linda! :flower3: I didn't want to get out of bed this morning, I actually slept till 9 for the first time in.....I can't tell you how many years. Now I feel more tired and sore than if I would have got up at 7.

I do feel sorry for Britt because she doesn't get away with anything. #1 she can't lie well, I've caught her in almost every lie she has told (you'd think she'd learn by  ). I also know just about everything she does before she does it, she forgets I was a teen once.:rolleyes1 Last week her and her friend wanted to go to the park at 8:30...I asked if they were meeting boys, they assured me they weren't. About 20mins later I called her and told her she could invite the boys over here but they were not staying at the park after dark. She was shocked that I knew they met boys (her friend was doubly shocked) .;):lmao: Then I lectured them both afterward that there was to be no sneaking around meeting boys, they were more than welcome to invite them over here (as long as we are here) and that I don't like to be lied to. Then Britt pipes up with "yeah my mom knows everything".:rotfl2: Then yesterday she asks me if she can go to the movies (normally it is can I go to the movies with such and such). Well I said what's his name. :lmao: She couldn't believe I knew she wanted to go with a boy.;):lmao: Then I said no, she was not 1on1 dating till 16 but was more than welcome to go with a group of kids that included boys. Then I got a bunch of but so and so did.....I AM NOT THEIR MOM! She hates it when I say that. What's really going to be hard is all her friends are a yr older than her. That means they are all turning 16 next year and she is just turning 15. :scared:

To top off all her begging and not talking to me....the boy got in trouble and couldn't go anyway.:lmao::rotfl2:

Hopefully the rain will hold off for the games. It is suppose to be sunny here today but only in the 50s.

I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend. We are going to finish painting the living room (yeah, it's still not done) so I can finally put my house back together.

hey everyone!!!

I have been here in Florida since Wed. evening and it has been a good trip, but a bit stressfull as well.
It's a long story, but I got an offer on the house on Friday. Come to find out that the offer was made Thursday at 5:30, but my agent didn't call me with it until 11am on Friday and they had a deadline if 3pm that day---giving me a 4hr. window to make a decision. What made me more aggrevated, however, was the fact that I spoke to my agent's office manager at 2:50 and had another question at 3:05 and got her answering machine saying she was gone for the weekend and to call the agent's cell phone. Well, I had been doing that all afternoon and he finally called back at 7:45 that night (8:45 Florida time). I was so angry!!!!! I just felt that there was no communication ----I had no idea if the interested party got my counter offer or not. There is more to the story, but too long and I don't want to get fuming again, so I'll stop.:rolleyes1 Where it stands right now is that she didn't accept my counter offer so I tried to accept her original offer and ask the agents to take a bit of a cut on their commission (believe me, not much, but they were being so hard headed). I would be taking such a cut on the house that the least they could do was take a $700 cut each. I just want to sell this house and move on. So, as it stands now is that the girl is still interested, but she is going to look at two more properties today and make a decision by tomorrow, so send some pixie dust and cross your fingers and toes that these other two are dark and dingy:laughing:. I know that the house hasn't been on the market very long, but after 15 showings and only one offer, I'm afraid that the offers are going to be few and far between and I've already noticed the showings slowing down because it's not "new" on the market anymore and I don't want to lower my price.

Anyway, sorry for the vent-----I knew this was going to be a stressful process, but wow!!!

hope everyone is doing well----I have to run now---my sister, niece and I are going to go out since we've been sitting around waiting for phone calls for the last two days.

have a good Sunday!!!

2x lots and lots of hugs and pixie dust for you!:wizard::hug::wizard::hug::wizard: I know exactly how stressful selling a house is.With the market the way it is now I can imagine it is even more stressful. My fingers and toes are crossed that the offer comes through for you. I would absolutely be ticked off at your realtor. When we were selling our house we had all the back and forth while we were in Disney. It was so stressful, we had to do all the calls between rides. I'm sure it put a damper on your visit. I hope you were able to have a good time in spite of it all.

Dh and I went to Texas De Brazil for dinner tonight. OMG! If I see another hunk of meat anytime soon I think I'll vomit!!!:scared: It was so incredibly good and such a great experience, but oh my do you get a lot of meat!:scared1:

I am so terribly upset right now. I am taking a medication that my insurance company will no longer pay for because it has generic. I have tried the generic before but I have awful side effects from it. I have called and pleaded without success, not even with a Dr. note. There is a clause in our ins. now that says if there is a generic we have to take it or we pay a $50 copay along with a....get this $140 penalty. That means $190 a month which is more than if I got the med without insurance. So where I was getting 90 day supply for $100 now it is over $500. It's nice that ins co. can dictate over Drs orders. I'm not sure what I'm going to do. Tomorrow I am calling the Dr and the ins. but from what I've been told there really is no recourse.:sad2:

So....Britt had the boy here today. I could hear Maddie as they walked up saying "Brittany, why did you bring a Boy home".:rolleyes1 Little sisters!:rotfl2: He seems really sweet. From what Britt says she can't understand half of what he says and ends up saying "what" a lot to him. His name is Luis pronounced {lu eeze} I believe he is from Puerto Rico and doesn't speak English well along with being very shy. He also texts like he talks so she needs his texts interpreted.:upsidedow He has 8 brothers and sisters.:scared1: I'm not sure what to think of all this. I'm not ready for all this teen stuff, I don't want my little baby to grow up.:sad1: This really sucks!:guilty:

Happy Anniversary David and Lesa!!!

anytime! I feel more tired when I sleep more than usual too. I haven't had that problem lately though. I couldn't hardly sleep last night b/c I knew I had to get up early and finish my Eng. paper:headache:

Oh, don't feel sorry for Britt, be thankful! It will keep her out of a lot of trouble:laughing::cloud9::cool1:

you do a lot of painting ...come on down, our whole house needs it inside now!:rolleyes1:rotfl:

oh...it rained and it rained!!! but we were prepared! ;)

2x!!! I'm so sorry!!:guilty: I hope all works out well and they buy your house. I know how nice it would be to just be done with it!

we're all praying for you!

I had to chuckle...when you said hunk of meat, I was first thinking some gorgous guy:lmao: at least it was an awesome experience and meal:love::banana:

are there any other meds, non generic they can switch you too? One of my friends had to have her dr. change her meds b/c the antibiotic she wanted to put her on was like $300 for 10 pills:sad2::scared1: good luck:hug: it IS frustrating!

"why did you bring a boy home":rotfl2:ohh Maddie...she's so adorable!
Good luck Britt:cheer2:

Well, Sat. rained off and on all day! It was awesome, the boys played their little hearts out!

I was SOOOOO proud of Kenny!:lovestruc For each game they played the opposing coach had to pick the player they thought played the best and Kenny got a trophy for being the "best player of the match"
:yay::woohoo: on the way home he says to me "I wasn't expecting that!!!" he's such a sweetheart!

of coarse I took lots of pics...rain or not:snooty: wasn't going to stop ME!

Yay JT for winning Survivor:yay:

Happy Anniversary David and Lesa!!!

Hey there Donna!!
yeah, the boys had a blast! I'm glad the season is over though!! BUT...his new coach wants to start practicing in a few weeks:scared1:yikes!! but, he'll teach them a lot, so...whatever Kenny wants to do ;)
I bet that was a great shirt for YM:laughing:
Thanks for the muffins! we're on the run!

I had to stop in...we're heading south for the weekend. My mom is getting married:scared1::rotfl:of coarse Kenny is the master ring bearer...so he got nominated:laughing:It will be nice to see family. They're all in southern Ohio, but we're going to stay at Greenbo State Park in KY. It looked awesome and Kenny will love it. It looked so peaceful and relaxing...I need that for sure:cloud9:

I hope everyone has a very SAFE and wonderful holiday!

Hope everyone is having a good weekend. Linda, have fun at your mom's wedding, I'm sure Kenny will be a master! The state park sounds like a perfect place to stay.:cloud9:

Hi Jill...thanks for the dessert...there is some for everyone.;) Glad you are doing well.:)

Miss Donna...what is your crew up to this weekend? Rats, I went to Walmart and forgot to check out my shirt!

queen2-1.jpg

I did a little shopping today. The boys did a bunch of swimming in our neighbors pool. After they had been in a while I tossed my youngest DS his swim shirt over the fence so he wouldn't get sunburned. He told me he wasn't getting sunburned like he did last yeat. Well...guess what? He never put his shirt on or more sunscreen and he got sunburned again. I don't think it looks too bad. I think we are going to have some burgers and dogs on Monday afternoon. Hope everyone is having a great weekend.:woohoo:

Good morning and Happy Memorial Day!!
Guess what; it's raining!!:guilty: Isnt' that just the way it would go for the official kick-off of summer.:rolleyes1

We got back last night from our basketball-filled weekend at Springfield, Il. The boys won 4 of their 5 games....they lost the last one to a 6th grade team, but I must say they were the home court and the refs were coaching the opposong team and giving them pointers!!!:eek:
I told the opposing team's coach to tell "his" refs "Good game".:headache::teeth:
Nathan has not really been playing that much and has not been starting. The coach has been trying to work on his defense/aggressiveness.

Linda:: Congrats to your mom. Hopefully she will be happy. I know that Kenny will be the perfect ring bearer.:goodvibes
Have fun at your special retreat in Ky.

YourMajesty:: YIKES!! I hope your youngest didn't get too sunburned!! Maybe next time he will listen to his mom.;)
The shopping sounds like fun; it seems like forever since I've been able to spend some time on my own to shop without men waiting for me to finish.
I hope you have some good weather today to grill out...ours doesn't look very promising right now.

Hi to everyone!!!:wave2:

I've fixed a special Memorial Day breakfast. I hope you'll take the time to stop by and grab a bite.

Good Morning all

I hope everyone has been enjoying their holiday weekend. Friday was great for us. We all had the day off, even Blake, so we made a family honey-do list and got a lot knocked off. Then we got the phone call....

Blake's dad was really bad again. He has been under hospice care since December but had been doing really well. He passed away Saturday evening. Blake, his mom and Matt and Nick were with him at the end. We had to call hospice. Who after they finally arrived had to call the police. Luckily for us, Blake's parents live in the same city where my brother is a cop. Barb (Blake's mom) asked if I would call Mike, she said it would be so much easier if it was someone she knows. I know poor Mike was not thrilled to have to do this but he was great. The funeral home people finally arrived about 4 hours after he passed.

His Memorial Service will be Thursday evening. Blake's sister Kim's oldest daughter is in Vegas this weekend and will not be home until Tues night.

Then as if that didn't make Sat awful enough my girlfriend's sister was taken off life support that afternoon and died that night.:sad2:

Oh and Zach left for army boot camp Tuesday.

This week really has sucked!!!

Linda...how exciting that your mom is getting married!!! Hope you all had a great time.

Lesa...so how was the Harry Potter exhibit? I am so bummed they wouldn't let you take pictures. Hopefully we will be able to come to town this summer and see it. Give everyone a kiss from me.

Donna...sounds like Nathan's team did really well:cheer2: Don't you hate when the refs make such a difference in the game.

YM...I hope your youngest isn't too sunburned. Hopefully he will remember this summer that mom does know best!

I was picked to be the person in charge of pictures for the memorial service so I have spent a lot of time the last 2 days scanning old pictures. Now I have to put them on Blake's laptop so we can have a slideshow during the service.

As long as I have the boxes of pictures I am going to scan all of Blake's childhood pics that I don't have. Plus I hate to say it....but I am going to scan a lot of his mom too. She is in excellent health but...How horrible am I?

Hi Kids.:wave2:

Michele...I'm so sorry to hear about Blake's dad and your friend's sister. I must confess when you were talking about scanning pictures I had a blonde moment. I thought why in the world would you feel bad about scanning some pictures of Blake's mom?:rolleyes1 Did Zach join the regular army or the reserves? Good luck to him. Sounds like you had a very somber weekend to say the least...I'm keeping you and your family in my thoughts.:grouphug: Oh... do kids ever believe that moms know best?;)

Hi Miss Donna...basketball refs can be badly biased for the home team. It seems like all the way up through college you can tell they have an agenda.:headache: The ref/umpires for baseball and football aren't far behind. I was just thinking... wouldn't golf be nice?:rolleyes1 I hope Nathan is getting more agressive with his defense...he needs some playing time!:cheer2:

What did everyone do today? We had the traditional dogs and burgers. The weather held up nicely too. DS didn't end up with a much of a sunburn...he was back in the pool today with lots of sunscreen!::yes::

Good morning, all!!

It's been raining here again this morning. I need to wash the bugs off of my car, but I think Mother Nature may take care of some of that for me.:thumbsup2

Nathan is so thrilled; this is the last week of school. Next Monday is their Play Day. They get to go to roller skating and to a near by park to blow off steam. He just goes next Wednesday to pick up his report card.

Michele:: I'm so sorry to hear about Blake's dad. Your family will be in my thoughts.
So sorry for your friend. Has her sister been ill long? It's always so hard to see a loved one pass.
Good luck to Zach. Does he have any idea where he is going after boot camp?
I must agree, your weekend could have been better.:sad1:

YourMajesty:: Glad to hear that your youngest survived and his sunburn isn't serious. He just might end up with a great tan!!:woohoo:
Burgers on the grill sound yummy!!
I try not to complain too much about Nathan's playing time....it's up to the coaches, not me. :rolleyes1

Well, had better get some grub served and be on my way this morning.
