Breakfast at DL Hotel

Hello everyone, I booked my first trip to DLP on May. We are using our DVC points to stay at the disneyland hotel, but there is something I don't understand, is the breakfast at this hotel different than in the others? When I booked through DVC member's service they said it was a grab and go type of breakfast, but I think I read somewhere here that it was a full sit down breakfast with some characters.

Can someone clarify?

It is not a character breakfast as such. All hotels have a buffet style breakfast included although I think the more expensive ones you are shown to a table rather than having to fight for a table in the cheaper ones and the server brings your drinks. However from what I understand there are often characters there outside the breakfast room for meet and greets.
The only character breakfast now is at Cafe Mickey in the Village which you can book at a supplement

Yes breakfast is buffet service with characters outside in the main lobby.

A nice touch with the Dineyland Hotel is that as well as continential breakfast you can have a cooked breakfast - bacon, eggs etc.
This option is included as standard whereas in others you have to pay a supplement.

Cafe Mickey in the Disney Village is available for character meals.
