What sort of things do they do for breakfasts, my son is not very adventerous with food and rather than pancakes etc he would be much happier with cereal, can you get that ? We are going to go next Summer, not booked yet but maybe looking at the Port Orleans with free dining.

We have been to Disneyland Paris where breakfast was contnental-cereals, pastries etc and that was ideal.

Thanks.

There are plenty of choices of food in Florida - our youngest son is a really fussy eater, he wouldn;t even eat a bowl of cereal (well maybe occassionally without the milk), but we have always found restaurants in the US very accomodating, and last year when he was 12 we often ordered from the childrens menu for him but I always asked first and offered to pay extra but was never asked to. You can find the menus for disney restaurants here http://allears.net/menu/menus.htm if you scroll down you can look at the current menus for the resort eateries. Hope that this helps

We stayed at Pop Centuary in 2007 with free DDP, so can only talk for that resort, but the food was ok. It catered for everyone, from cooked breakfast to Kellogs mini variety boxes of cereals. I guess they are all similar. Have previously stayed offsite and Denny's was our favourite for breakfast and again you could have the full cooked breakfast or Kellogs - we even take our own marmite as our youngest is happiest with Marmite on toast for breakfast! Happy planning!!

we like having the big danish pastries or if we got to sizzler a nice all you can eat for $3.99 bargin

As we like to get up and get to the parks we actually take our own breakfast with us (or buy some cereal when we are there). We usually take a few boxes of cereal bars, or you could take a box of cereal and a couple of bowls. As the rooms have a small fridge you can get milk from the shop and keep it in your room. We would rather do this than mess around making breakfast ADR's every day.

Most days at Pop we went down to the food court and either had an omlette (which kept us going until dinner :thumbsup2) or got some fresh fruit to snack on. We did take cereal bars but never ate them so were not going to bother this time! We are make a couple of breakfast ADRS though :)

I'm not a big eater in the mornings, but obviously like to make sure junior is well fed before we go out anywhere so I done this also. We bought a large pack of his favourite cereal, a jug of milk and a pack of disposable bowls from walmart.

Worked a treat, and probably saved us a fair bit also :thumbsup2

theres a great food court at Port orleans riverside

Breakfast isn't included like it is at DLP so the set up is different. If you are having the DDP plan you can get a individual box of cereal for a snack credit or you can get a breakfast platter etc for a counter service credit.

My advice would be to buy a box of cereal, milk and some bowls/spoons at a supermarket as already suggested - this what we do to and eat in our room :thumbsup2 Saves time and money and means we can be at the parks for opening :goodvibes

Thanks for your replies, Ive saved that menu list in my favourites it will come in useful. I think having a quick bowl of cereal in our room would be the way to go for us on park days, could have a bigger breakfast when we have later starts.

Thats deffintly what i would do :) good thinking

Buffet breakfasts are great value and the choices are excellent, lots of savoury items as well as sweet ones, lots of cereals available too plus yogurts, oatmeal, granola, fresh fruit, breakfast pizza. Food courts vary their menus a little from place to place but you may want to pick up cereal and milk before you reach your resort if you are worried about the kids choices. We tend to get by giving cereal bars and milk to DS and we grab a coffee or hot chocolate with our refillable mugs and buy a danish pastry or croissant. We do try to get a buffet breakfast somewhere if we can get the ADRs we want.

We tended to just have cereal bar type snacks for breakfast in our room and then head off to the parks early. Then we have an early lunch about 11-11:30 (beats the counter service rush) :)

I would agree that if he prefers cereal it'd be a good idea to buy a box and some milk, bowls and spoons to keep in the room rather than using a DDP snack credit on a small box each day. We like American breakfasts like pancakes, waffles etc so we usually used our CS credit for those and either had a snack lunch or skipped it altogether then a TS dinner. That's the great thing about the DDP, you can use the credits in a way that works for you :goodvibes

Thats what i like to do, unless we have booked a character breakfast :cool1:

Hi

Like some of the other replies, we took a load of the small multipack boxes from Sainsburys and you can get nice fresh milk from the shop. 3 weeks of pancakes and syrup is just tooooooo much!

We do have tho odd 'sweet' breakfast, but the cereal is very welcome and also saves a couple of quid into the bargain.

Cant wait!
