We are going to Universal next week and I want to get up early and get to the parks early and so I want to eat breakfast at Citywalk so we can eat on the go and wait at the entrance. Is there anything cheap we could eat (Except for Cinnabon)?

Thanks!

:cool1:

The only places I can think of are Starbuck's & Cinnabon but it sounds like you aren't interested in that. You could try arriving early & then taking the shuttle boat to one of the hotels to dine there but I doubt it would be cheap.

Not really sure what type of breakfast you are looking for I guess. Maybe you should hit a fast food drive thru on the way??

Pastamore has a breakfast buffet but that wouldn't help you with a breakfast on the run.

When we went in November Pastamore had a charge per plate breakfast, non buffet.

The kids plate was HUGE and fairly inexpensive.

Oop, didn't mean to call it a buffet. Thanks, Cindy for the correct info. Here is the menu for Pastamore:

Anyway, Pastamore is the only place that serves breakfast in Citywalk. If you want a meal on the run, you'll have to settle for Cinnabon or Starbucks or wait until you get in the parks and hit San Francisco Pastry, Boulangerie, or Croissant Moon Bakery.

No worries, Bev. You're there much more often than I am.

I think it was Pastamore where you could just get a danish or muffin for on the go. They had a display case with danishes and stuff in it.

Shelleyz, you can just get a pastry there at the counter service at Pastamore, but since the original poster said they didn't want Cinnabon, I assumed they were looking for a more substantial breakfast.

The OP said they wanted to eat on the go and wait at the entrance so I thought a danish or muffin would be a good choice.

on the left hand side underneath Starbucks right past the escalator that serves breakfast as your walking in to Citiwalk. Can't remember the name but we shared 2 breakfast pizzas between the 4 of us. They were tasty, inexpensive and plenty to share. We just grabbed them then ate them as we walked to the gates. This isn't Patamore right? Isn't that on the right side upper level as your walking in? Anyway it was perfect for what you want.

that is Pastamore - as you walk in from garage under starbucks at corner on left. (lower level) Pastamore has great food - fair prices but flat pizza.

There is a bakery in both parks near the entrance. Sit and relax. You will be done in less than 20 minutes.

geez you're on vacation. Its not a runaway train.

OK, so I'm assuming that was Pastamore counter service and the sitdown restaurant is on the right hand side upper level? Or am I losing it?

Pastamore is on the lower level on the left side. When you enter City walk, just at the "fork in the road" where you either go straight toward IOA or right toward Universal, that is where Pastamore is on your left hand side. It is across from Cinnabon and the Fossil store. Cinnabon and Fossil are on your right. Pastamore is on your left.

Here is a map of Citywalk: http://www.ioacentral.com/citywalk/citywalk.htm

The map is kind of turned sideways but it you look for the part on the map that shows the walkway to parking on the map, it is easier to tell the directions.

I swear there is a vertical neon sign on the right upper level side that says Pastamore and I probably wasn't paying attention but I don't remember a sitdown with nice tables, just a counter service deal with the menu on the wall. Where IS the sitdown? Well, at least I got the directions sorta right.

We sat down outside before the parks opened. I don't think the interior restaurant was opened though. Again, this was in November, so info may have changed.

IT was substantial like eggs, bacons such like that. I can't do pastries!

If you were walking from IOA toward Citywalk, then Pastamore will be on your right. if you are walking from the parking lot into Citywalk, then it is on your left.

There are two parts of Pastamore:
Pastamore Ristorante and Pastamore Marketplace Cafe. If you enter into the open counter service of Pastamore Marketplace Cafe and walk in the direction of IOA (while still inside the open cafe part of Pastamore), you will see the restaurant area which is full service and a little pricey.

Now I won't look like a freak wandering around trying to figure out where the sitdown is located! You've also saved me grumbling from DH.
