We're staying at BCV in November. My parents eat low-carb, so they need eggs and bacon for breakfast, rather than a bagel or pastry. Is there somewhere nearby to get a decent breakfast? I know about the character meal, but that is not really their thing.

If you aren't interested in Cape May Cafe, you can try the Yacht Club Galley at the Yacht Club or Spoodles at the Boardwalk Inn. The YC Galley had suspended breakfast at at one point but I think it is up and running again. Neither location is as close as Cape May Cafe though. It will be an approx 10-15 minute walk. Another idea is room service, although that could be expensive.

Yacht Club Galley is open and serves a pretty good breakfast, they have a small buffet or you can order from the menu. It is in the Yacht Club which is attahced to the Beach Club. I really think it takes a bit less than 10 minutesto walk there though.

I understand about the character meal not being their thing.. it isn't mine either. But, we ate at the one at Cape May twice on our last trip, It is the closest place to eat when you are staying at the BC. Also, the food is great!

It isn't a noisy thing with a bunch of dancing characters or screaming kids. The characters just walk around and shake hands and take pics. We would simply say "Good Morning, Minnie" and she would nod and move on. They can tell when you don't want a lot of interaction.

You could also take the boat or walk around the lake to have breakfast at Spoodle's. The food is very yummy!
