What can you tell me about the breakfast food at the Akershus Round Table in Norway? Has anyone been there lately?

I have not been too recently, but I recall it being served family-style with both sweet & savory on a platter/skillet.

There is also the buffet with smoked salmon, fruit, yogurt, breads, pastries.

We absolutely loved breakfast at Akershus when we went for the first time last November. It was one of the ones we said we will be going back to for sure when we go for my nieces first trip. We loved the food. There is a cold buffet with lots of great options- bagels, muffins, cold meats and cheeses, donut holes, yogurt, granola, fruits, pastries, etc. Then they come to your table and serve the hot foods on a big plate.. Scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage and a delicous cheesy potato casserole- omg those potatos were amazing! Even though they are not on the menu, you can also ask for mickey waffles and your server will gladly bring you a plate full of mini mickey waffles! We had them when we went! I cannot wait to go back for breakfast. We had a pre-park opening adr, so it worked out great.

Love breakfast there! Food is great. We went there last year and are going again in September!! Try to get a ressie before the park opens!

This breakfast is my family's favorite breakfast in all of WDW. I have to make sure I make at least 1 ADR each trip for before the park opens (we have been known to go twice in a trip because we love it so much). The breakfast is the typical American breakfast foods with scrambled eggs, sausage links, crispy bacon, and the best potato casserole ever (we always get seconds on this) brought to your table. But before they bring the hot food out, you are invited to go up to the cold buffet bar that includes, yogurt with toppings (there is strawberry and vanilla yogurt), various cheeses and deli meats, a nice variety of breakfast pastries, fresh fruit, salads, lox and smoked salmon, bagels and cream cheese.

We have a pre RD ADR for Oct so this is all good to hear!

We have an 8 AM ADR at Akershus. What time should we plan on getting to the main gate?

We have an 8am also, I am planning at being at the gate by 7:40 at the latest. We are staying at YC, so my goal will be walking out the door by 7:20.

We are staying at the GF. I know that there will be modified monorail travel, but do not know if the Epcot run is affected. I generally do not plan travel, so this is new to me
