Has anyone ever done the character breakfast at 1900 Park Fare? This is our first time doing it, and we are looking forward to it. Our DS will be 6. Any comments?

We did it last year and it was great. The food is delicious and the characters spend alot of time with you. I talk about it in my trip report on page 6 with a couple of pics. It's worth it!
I was just looking at the meet thread and saw a post from you there. We'll be at CBR the same week as you 9/20-9/27.
We had a 10:30 am ressie in Dec 06 and it was horrible. Maybe it was because we did such a late reservation (it was our check out day) but we will not go back.
Mary Poppins was in the lobby and no one was going up to her, she just sat on a bench all by herself. Inside was total chaos, very loud and people everywhere. Pooh, Tigger, Alice and Mad Hatter were all there but they never came around to see us.
We were seated right by the kitchen door and basically ignored the entire time. We had to tackle our server to get coffee and juice refills. They had one egg station open and the line was huge. The food on the buffet was overcooked, over salted and dried out. The fruit took on the flavor of other foods like onions...the strawberry soup and bread pudding were delicious.
I would go back again for an 8 am reservation but I will not do any breakfast buffet late again.

When you're going, 1900 Park Faire will be in refurb. So the character breakfast will actually be in the Grand Floridian Cafe. Menu is totally different (and not a buffet) but characters are the same. We are having breakfast here too during the refurb, and have found very few reviews regarding it.
