When booking an ADR for a breakfast there, I was rambling on to the CM about how this is my DS23's and his best friend's 22 birthday trip, and why we wanted to eat there (Mary Poppins is one of two favorite characters of DS23). This is a mid-Sept. trip. She asked for both their names, etc. Do they usually do something for the birthday folks?

Also, she gave me the number to call if I wanted to order a birthday cake. So, they will actually serve us a cake with a breakfast TS?

If they do, and I choose to do this, what are the cost of the cakes? Can someone tell me about them? I know I have to order it at least 48 hours before our ADR, but could I order it now for that? Also, do they charge your credit card now or after the meal?

I would love to have as much as possible paid off before we even go, the less I have to worry about the better.

DD had her birthday breakfast at 1900 Park Fare in March. We invited one friend from school and her parents. We had a wonderful time, and by far this has been our best character meal.

The Madhatter came over to sing Happy Birthday, Alice sang too! Not that your son's would probably one one but my DD and her friend got birthday Tiara's (it was not the friend's birthday, but they were the only two kids in the party). They have the young boys some type of crown too I believe!

I ordered this cake for her - it was $25.00. They have a vanilla version as well. It was TOO DIE for if you love chocolate. It was pretty large, luckily they kept it in the fridge for me while we went to Magic Kingdom and I was able to pick it up before we came home. It would have been a shame to waste it! They did take my credit card number, but it was not charged until the day of the breakfast.

I posted this on your other thread from yesterday too -
Tara's Birthday Pics - There are pics in this slideshow from 1900 Park Fare too - other are DTD and the movies that we did for b-day as well. There's a pic o of the Fairy Godmother - she was there for dinner when I went back to pick up our cake - she is not at breakfast!

I would make sure that you remind the CM checking you in that you are celebrating birthdays. Sometimes, it's on your ADR, but they forget or don't do anything special.

Thanks! My son will probably be embarrassed by all this, but we're one of those family's that love to play jokes and embarrass (all in fun), so this will fun. But I would love to take a pic of him in a boy's crown. :rotfl2:

That cake is beautiful and thanks for the tip about picking it up. We are going to MK after this breakfast, so I will see if they will let me do this too.

Ok, so I will put that on my to-do list to order by end of June. It's fine that they don't charge until that day, I just am getting as much taken care of now and in the next month. That way all I have to do after the final payment on the ressie is made is just get more excited about the trip.
