My DH and some friends are going to WDW at the end of January to play golf. (I know I get the best wife award for letting him go without me--not fair I wanna go too) They are staying at SSR and have 7:18 am tee times. And are wondering if there is somewhere they could eat breakfast. I think the artist palette doesn't open until 7. Does anyone know of somewhere that might open earlier? They are not picky. I know there is the MCD's near the value resorts but that might not be very convenient for them. Anything near DTD.

You don't mention specifically which golf course they will be going to, but the Sand Trap Restaurant at the course near Fort Wilderness , might offer something for the early golfers (we love their lunch service) and if they are goiing to the courses on the other side of the property, I would look into stopping at The Shades of Green. I'm not familiar with what is offered on the course itself, but I believe there is some type of club house near those courses as well.

How about Artist's Palette? That's right at SSR. Or give them a shopping list (eggs, pre-cooked bacon, croissants or English Muffins, cheese) and they can eat in the villa.

Have to agree with Deb and Bill: give them a shopping list and let them have breakfast in their villa before they go. Given the early hour, plus transpo time from resort to GC etc, they'll have to eat REALLY early. I don't think many of the dining spots are open at 6 am, other than Roaring Forks at WL or the Ale and Compass lounge at YC (6:30)

Maybe arrange for a grocery delivery by wegoshop or gardengrocer?

Another vote for eating in the Villa before they go. What size Villa are they in? Even a studio will have a small fridge, a microwave and a toaster. I don't think you will find anything open early enough. We have used wegoshop 6 times and been very pleased.

Thanks... they will be at all 4 of the pga courses over 2 days. staying in 2 studios. I agree they would have to eat really early. They are also driving down. I'm thinking they need to take some cereal or stop somewhere and maybe get some breakfast burritos or something

1) As mentioned above, eat in the room.
2) Or get some pop-tarts to hold them over to the 9th hole.
3) The halfway-house isn't open until about 10:00am, as I remember.
