Breakfast ADR - get in to park early?

If I make a breakfast reservation at Magic Kingdom for 5/20 (hours that day are 9-10) would we get into the park early?

If so, how early? The earliest times I'm seeing on that day are around 8:35 - latest 9:35.

I read online that this might be a good way to strategically meet Elsa & Anna, by having a breakfast reservation at MK, but I'm new to all of this so trying to figure out what's best.

Yes, breakfasts at CP starts at 8am I believe, even when the parks open at 9. Mine is at 8:15 and park opens at 9, so I'll be at the gates by 8!

So if I have a reservation at 9:30, or 8:30 I can get in to the park at 8 that day?

That would depends. I've had CMs check a list....if my ADR was more than 25 mins later, I didn't get in. I have no way how MBs may impact this.....not sure if they will allow really entry or not.
It used to be that you could get in a little bit earlier than your ADR. Who knows now.

Okay, thanks. I'm trying to find out the best way to meet Elsa & Anna for my DD. Maybe the fast pass + is a better option?

I would definately try for a fp+ for it, yes. Your only other options are race there with the masses at rope drop and hope you are in the front, or make an 8am adr and hope you are done at 9 and try to get to the front of the pack the closest they will let you walk to before the main gates open... the CM's will hold you up at some point in the park before main gates open even if you are done at breakfast.

Okay, thanks. I will shoot for the fast pass then. Are Elsa/Anna only found at MK in Fantasyland for a fast pass?

I read somewhere too they can be found in the Norway area of Epcot, but don’t know if we can do a FP+ for that one?

The only breakfast times at MK are 8:30 or later, so it sounds like that won’t work for us (I’m late in the game on the 180 day reservations!) We were considering a breakfast too at Akershus, but same thing, they don’t have any early morning reservations available, so I am not sure if that would work either?

We were originally going to travel in October, but with a PIN I received we changed our trip to May, so now I’m scrambling, as already being within the 180 day window…I’m late to some of these things :(

As of right now, they are only in FL at MK. They used to be in Norway at Epcot, but that was only until they were moved to MK.

Okay, thanks. I'll cross my fingers for the FP+ once I'm 60 days out. Seems the FP+'s are hard to get?

If you have an ADR, you can get in the park early to snap a few pictures and go to the ADR. You don't get to line up for attractions until park opening. I don't think this a good strategy to ride attractions or do meet and greets because the breakfasts can take an hour or longer. In other words, you might have to rush the breakfast OR still end up being behind others anyhow.

I would get a FP+.
The next option would be to get to the park 45 minutes or so BEFORE Rope Drop so you were close to the front and race to the meet and greet to line up as soon as you were allowed.

A breakfast at Crystal Palace or CRT is much too expensive to rush, IMO.

If you are a party of 2 for A&E, I'll bet you can get a FP for May 20. Things in your favor... Wednesday and school is still on in most places.

If it is IMPORTANT that she see A&E then FP is the way to go. You should be one of the people poised over her keyboard at the stroke of midnight when your 60 day window opens.

Where does the 20th fall in your visit? You can begin making FP reservations for your onsite stay 60 days prior to your CHECK-IN date.

I agree with a PP who said CRT or CP are too nice to gobble and rush off to another venue.

Good luck.

We check in on 05/16 - so that would mean I can go online at midnight 3/17, or 3/18?

I believe I saw it opens at midnight in Eastern time?

I'm in Central Time Zone, so would this mean I could do 11:00PM (my time zone) on 3/16? I'm so confused trying to figure out my 'go online' time! I want to make sure I'm online right when the window opens

Your 60 day mark is 3/17 and it opens at midnight Eastern time, so since you're in Central time, it would be 11:00 pm on the 16th.
