Has anyone stayed at Breakers in Cedar Point.
I am debating between a quick trip to Cedar Point or to Hershey Park Lodge.
Is th ebeach, on lake erie nice? Is there swimming or is it just a beach area no swiming?
My oldest is sying to go to Cedar Point but I want to be fair to the litle one.

The Breakers is nice but expensive for what you get IMO and some rooms were really rundown. There is a nice pool area and a nice beach, as well. Being able to walk back and forth to the park is worth it for us with teens so we have stayed occasionally but not on our last trip.

We stayed one night at Breakers Express for the first time in June. I was actually quite impressed with the rooms and the price was much more reasonable. There is also a nice pool area there. Castaway Bay is quite close and has a water park inside the hotel. We got an email offer before our trip for discounted tickets for Castaway Bay so if you stayed at Breakers Express you could still use the water park at Castaway Bay.

Hope you have a great time!

We stayed at The Breakers years ago. I agree it is a little rundown. You certainly can't beat the location though. There are tons of hotels around the area. There is also a Great Wolf lodge close to Cedar point. Castaway Bay wasn't open when we lived in Ohio, but I hear it is very nice too:)

Wound up staying at Cast Away Bay. Both kids loved it. They spent a lot of time at the indoor water park at the hotel. And really enjoyed it. Room wase okay, service was okay.
