ok, i know everyone hates being dumped and dumping people. but say you were going out with this really sweet person, but didnt really want to go out with them anymore, but you dont want to hurt their feelings. like the situation is like the chase was better than the catch, if you know what i mean. what would you say to that person???? or what would you want to be said to you if your boyfriend/ girlfriend broke up with you, so that you werent really hurt, or something????

hmm sorta sounds like my last boyfriend...he had a girlfriend and i just wanted to see if i could get what everyone said i "couldn't have." i know, that wasn't very nice we dated for....4 months though...but i finally broke up with him because i didn't like him anymore and i didn't think it was fair to him.

i forget what i said...probably something to the effect of "i've really enjoyed the past few months with you, but i just don't think that we're the right people for each other. I definitely don't want to lose you for a friend, but i think that's what we should be...friends"

That sounds like my last boyfriend alittle bit too!!! Well what he did to break up with me is flipped a coin and then got his friend to tell me!!! He told me he did not want to hurt me by tellin me him self, but you know what it hurt me even worse that he decided to flip a coin on are relationship and then had his friend tell me!! Well this may not be much help but I just had to type my anger out!! Oh Well guys can be stupid sometimes!!!!!

My ex who I was with for a little over 3 years decided to walk past my work with his arms around another girl... And then when my friend was over that night she called him and he said: "I have to go I'm taking my girlfriend out to dinner." .... Except I was RIGHT THERE. I would never break up with someone that way. Just tell him the truth. You can't go wrong in telling the truth. It's worse to lie.

It's basically a chocolate covered spinich situation as my friend would call it. You want it til you have and then you don't want it anymore. Just tell the truth and everything will work out fine. Chances are you will still be friends in the end!!
