Break out the Coupons, We're going back to Disney!

I forgot to mention that when we went to the Disney Stores, I was looking for a Disney gift card for DD for her birthday. They didn't really have much of a variety, so I went to the Disney shopping site and ordered one. They have a huge selection of designs!!

This is the one I ordered and then they have an optional greeting card you can personalize, which I ordered, too. (the 2nd pic is the greeting card):

:yay:

I'm so excited about staying there. I'm renting points and just staying for those 2 extra nights.

I'm thinking of maybe changing our reservations from Best Western LBV to a hotel that has a fridge & micro, and that maybe a little cheaper. Since we're staying those extra days, I'd like to be able to have a few meals in the room.

I took a break last week form my normal Zumba workouts, but I am hoping to get back on track and lose some weight before the trip. I was doing pretty good with my weight loss, but with everything going on, I have actually gained about 8 pounds, even though I have still been excercising. So now, it's time for me to get with the program and lose this weight!!!

:)

I know what you mean. I keep gaining...and gaining. I really need to monitor my eating more.

Yes!! I am so gad to be done with school for the summer. I need the break!
Even with everything going on, I managed to finish with a 3.0 for both Fall and Spring semesters!

Excellent!!! :banana::banana::banana:

Awesome news about Saratoga Springs. It is a beautiful resort, very relaxing.

Made a few changes to our schedule because of the extra 2 days:
(Changes are in red)

June 14: MK

June 15: AK & Tusker House (DD's Birthday!! and she loved Tusker House when we went before!! So I thought it would be perfect for her birthday!)

June 17: MK

June 18: Epcot, Y.E.S. Program, Garden Grill (never been there)

June 20: Added the Spirit of Aloha Dinner Show (Also not making plans, just wait & see how it goes, maybe check out the pools at SSR!!) :beach:

I havnt heard much about the Spirit of Aloha show, cant wait to hear about it.

I havnt heard much about the Spirit of Aloha show, cant wait to hear about it.

I've read some mixed reviews on it, but we're going to try it out and see how it goes. I got category 1, which is supposed to be the best seating, so hopefully, we'll have a good experience with it.

I'm very late but im here!

Yay, glad you're back!!

OK, Ya'll, I have been in minor panic attack mode for the last few days!

On Friday, I got a call from the program director of the Tech college I go to. Now, I wasn't planning to go to school over the summer. She leaves me a message that, of course, has me worrying about all weekend. She asks if I'd like to take one class over the summer, and that it would actually have me graduating early. Now, you all know that I have had to change my plans and schedule a few times already. So the first thing I get to thinking about is this Disney trip!! Am i gonna have to change everything around, AGAIN? Will I actually have to cancel all together??

I finally talked to her today and told her I'd love to take the class, but needed to find out about my travel dates. The class is only on Tues & Thurs, so I would miss 3 class dates. She said she'd have to run it by someone else and she'd get back with me. So after worrying about this half the day, she called me and said everything would be fine, as long as I'd make the work up.

So, finally with some relief, everything worked out!!

Hopefully nothing changes and I can keep my schedule, dates, and ADR's!! :faint:

Glad it's working out..I would've panicked too...but I wouldn't be changing my dates. :rotfl:

It won't be too much work to make up? I'm glad you'll be able to graduate early :)

:thumbsup2
I probably would have just waited to take the class until Fall if they would not be OK with me missing those dates. It would cost too much to change flights, plus I can't get refund on the rented points for SSR.

It won't be too much work to make up? I'm glad you'll be able to graduate early :)

I hope it won't be much of a problem to make it up. As long as it's just one class, I think I'll be OK. Now, if it was a regular semester where I had 4 classes, then it would be a problem! It's hard just keeping up with that many classes, much less making up work!

As long as I can make it to Disney, I'll do what I have to do! :rotfl:

:teacher:

I just realized you're at less than a month to go! :cool1:

I know, I can't hardly believe we're this close, and I have so much more to do to get ready. It's funny that you mention that, because just this morning, DD asked me "how much longer do we have till our trip?". Well, I realized we're only ONE month away from her 17th birthday!! (It's on the 15th)

You know how lots of teenagers claim they can't wait till they're 17 so they can move out?? Well, not her, she claims she's living with me until she finishes college, and wherever she goes to college, I've got to tag along with her! I keep hinting a Florida college would be GREAT!!! :rolleyes1 :lmao:

If I had known about the Disney college program when I was in high school I would have schemed a way to get myself there! :goodvibes Nothing would have been able to stop me, haha. I hope your DD enjoys the Y.E.S. program. And how exciting that you get an extra two days in Disney! Enjoy them!

Hello there I hope you don't mind me hopping on for your PTR. I myself LOVE to coupon. It has really helped my family. This past Nov. my hubby lost his job and he is still unemployed he is the only person who works in the family so with no job and having to pay my house payment in another state, my rent where we live right now, two car payments, all the utilities we need in the house plus feed two dogs, and my family our money only stretches so far so my coupons have really saved us during these troubling months. I have been able to grow a nice stock pile and make sure that we have food in the house every day.

I can't wait to finish reading your PTR.

I wish I'd known about it earlier, too!! I could have saved a lot of money on tickets, and I know DD would enjoy all of those listed programs!

Thanks for joining in on my PTR!!! I've saved lots of money by couponing and even find deals to get things for free!

I'm planning to get caught up on this PTR. Tomorrow, I'll actually have a day "off": no school, babysitting, or working!

Everything's been crazy busy lately, so I'm trying to get caught up on all my Dis stuff!! :rotfl:

"Deal Of The Day" and Consignment/Thrift Store Finds

Deal of the Day is these travel items from CVS. They have travel packs of feminine products plus a "wristlet" type bag. They're priced at $1.99 each, and I had coupons for $2 off 2. Pretty good deal at 99 cents each!

And this one I found pretty interesting:

008-3.jpg

Yes, It is from 1994! :rotfl:

I flipped through it and decided to get it because I found it pretty interesting looking back on how Disney has changed since then.

Here's a few facts from the 1994 Disney guide:

Cost of 1 day park ticket: $35.90 (adult)
Cost of 4 day "Super Pass" : $126.70 (adult)
Cost of 5 day "Super Duper Pass" which includes Typhoon Lagoon: $174.30
Cost of parking at theme parks: $4
CBR for peak season: $89 a night
Grand Floridian: $265 a night
Season Pass: $200

Don't we wish those were the current prices??!!!

Only 21 more days!! :cheer2:

Great buys, love the icecream maker especially.

Thanks for the '94 facts, those prices now would be great! I wonder why they dropped the super duper pass, I like that name :)

I have some late 90's birnbaums too. I love looking at the prices.
i tokk my 2 older kids in 1997. We stayed offsite. I got the hotel, tickets and a free parking pass for like $500 for 5 days.

Our first visit was in 2006, so I never got to experience such great deals!! :(

Last weekend we decided to make another trip to the GA Mall for some more Disney & birthday shopping. I was looking forward to me & DD going by ourselves since I am always working on the weekends and babysitting. Well, at the last minute, the baby's mom had to go into work for someone that called in. So we decided to go on anyway, and take the little munchkin with us!

Found a couple of great deals in the Disney Store:

Shirt on the left was discounted to $2.99
Shirt on the right was on sale for $7

I haven't been doing much as far as our Disney stuff, because when we got back from out of town, I started getting a sore throat and feeling terrible. I'm still coughing like crazy and throat is still scratchy. I haven't went to the doctor but if I'm not better by Monday I probably will go. I definately don't want to be sick getting ready to go on our trip.

It never fails, either me or DD ends up sick around vacation time!!
