I read that about allegiant. I am appalled that they now will be charging $70 round trip for a carryon.

Thats unreal. It only cost $40 round trip for a checked bag.

Great deals!! I got the Allegra one as well. I love freebies!! It came just in time too, as my DH suffers from allergies.

Good idea on the yard sale! We are hoping to have one as well before our trip. Every little bit towards Disney helps!!

Been getting some yard sale stuff together this week, so hopefully when my semester is finished (first week in May), I'll have time to have one!

I saw the news about Allegiant's fees on the news this morning as we were getting ready for work, and I immediately thought about you. I'm glad to know they aren't charging those who are already booked! The news said that you could possibly avoid some of the fees if you book online, but didn't you tell me it was cheaper to actually purchase your tickets from the airport counter?

Mike and I are wanting to do a yard sale, too. We've already gotten a good amount of stuff to sale, now we just need to figure out when we're actually gonna have it!

Yeah, it is cheaper if you go to the airport and purchase tickets. I think it subtracts about $40 per person by going up there. Hopefully they will honor what they're saying about those who have already purchased tickets.

I've got to figure out when we'll have one, too. Probably when I finish up this semester at the beginning of May, when I'll have more time.

Great deals! I hope you don't have a problem with the baggage fees. What a pain.

Here's DD's Easter goodies. Instead of making a basket, I got her some stuff she could use on the trip.

I think she liked the luggage tag more than anything!!



Even had to get the doggie a couple of things.

Over the weekend, we made a trip to the Disney Store. Well, the nearest one to us is about an hour and a half away. So when we go, we always make a day trip out of it. We went to a couple of Malls in GA, went out to eat, and seen Titanic at one of the IMAX theaters there.
I found a couple of good deals on t shirts.

They had an $8 sale on T shirts, and they also had a huge clearance section of Disneyland merchandise!! I found the pink one for $2.99!!!

I am hoping to get our hotel reservation made this week. I have been checking on some sites for offsite deals, but I think I'm pretty sure where we'll stay!.................................

Hotel Deal, Disney find, and Gift Cards







I've been checking on websites for some hotel deals. We finally decided to stay at.....




Best Western LBV, in the Downtown Disney area!!!!!



We stayed there last June, and we loved it!!
And the best thing is, I got a great deal!!
They have a "birthday special", so if you stay there during the month of your birthday, you can stay 4 nights, get 2 nights free!!!
Since it's DD's birthday that week, I figured I couldn't pass that deal up.

For my Disney find, I found these mini flags at the Dollar General store. You know I was like this when I found these !!!!
I have never been able to find a Disney mini flag. I had to get one of each design!!

Gift card info:

I love cashing in points for gift cards! I always try to save them all up and cash them in to use on trips. Here's a few that I have so far:

1. Disney gift card: I have been holding onto a $40 Disney gift card for a while. There was a DVC online tour that I participated in, and they sent out a GC for $40 for participating! It's been hard to not spend it, but I knew I had to save it for the trip!

2. Wal Mart gift card: Our cable company gives you points every month that you can use for gifts or gift cards. This month I got a chunk of birthday bonus points since my birthday is this month! So I cashed those in for a Wal Mart GC, that I will save for the trip. I'm sure I'll be making a Wal Mart run at some point!

3. Disney Visa: I'll be cashing in my Disney Visa points before the trip. I noticed that you can actually wait till you get to Disney and cash it in there, so I thought about waiting till we get there to get that GC. (so I can be racking up more points!)

Another couponer here. We'll get to Disney right after you leave. We're staying offsite for the first time and I'm so using coupons to get us there.

Got our airfare for 107 down and 134 back using orbitz. We're going to use mom's AARP membership and my union membership for more savings.

I really don't mind staying offsite. It saves a ton of money and there's usually more space in the rooms I've stayed in! You can find nice hotels, with lots of space, and great pools...offsite! Looks like you got great airfare price. We got a good deal on Allegiant, so we're flying this time, which I'm really excited about!

Disney Deals, Earth Day freebies, and other ramblings!






We went to the Disney stores in GA over the weekend. One store didn't have anything new or that I was interested in. The other store had a few deals and some of the Disneyland merchandise I mentioned before.


First, we wanted to pick up the free Earth Day bag from Disney. We both got one, and they were so cute!

I also came across some great deals on Vera Bradley stuff. I never really paid much attention to Vera Bradley merchandise, but since I seen some discount deals, I thought I'd check it out. I really liked it all! I found this really cute makeup bag that I loved, and it was 40% off! So with that purchase, I scored a Earth Day Vera Bradley freebie!!


So, you all are looking at my first ever Vera bradley purchase and freebie!

The inside of the bag has a cute little pocket. Great for cell phone or keys, etc.!!

Other ramblings:

I am still working on Disney plans! I can't believe I haven't gotten my plans set yet! This week is the last week of classes, then next week is exams, so hopefully I'll get a schedule and ADR's made soon! I looked on the Disney parks calendars, and am kinda bummed that MK closes at 10pm all week, and Epcot & HS closes at 9pm, and AK closes at 7pm. Since we can't use EMH, it looks like we'll be turning in early most nights.

We're also looking into adding a beach day to our plans
(maybe Cocoa Beach?)



I'm also planning to do a couple odd jobs starting next week.

First of all, you can all call me an "official coupon lady" now!
Because: you know when you go to the grocery store, and they have tables set up for samples & coupons? Well, I'm going to start doing that on weekends!

Also, I'm supposed to start babysitting for my cousin. She has 2 kids, one is 3years old, and one is 4 weeks old!
This should be fun!
