Break out the bubbly and warn the waiters...she's coming back!

C:

I think your plans look great! You are going to have a wonderful relaxing trip full of Dis meets, wonderful food and drinks. You are so lucky to be going to the BC. I am so jealous.

If you do decide to go to MK on your arrival day and you want an early Dis meet, pm me and I send you my cell. DH and I have a lunch ADR at LTT....I think its around 1130 or so. I have to check the exact time. Our flight leaves around 4pm, so we will probably head out around 1:30 - 2pm (we're driving to airport). I know things will be rushed, but we might have time for a quick  and a pic in front of the castle!

I think I'd watch the latest planning DVD to get me in the mood. Otherwise it would be Mary Poppins.

Pollyanna!

Unexpected but great suggestion. I don't know if I've ever seen it. :thumbsup2

Ratatouille would be the one for me to get me into the spirit for F&W! I love Remy and it is such a positive story with a twist and not too obvious. :goodvibes

Another good suggestion! I just hope the whole rat in the kitchen thing doesn't creep me out. But if he's going to visit our table at lunch I should probably know who he is!

I am glad we aren't the only ones having trouble with this travel agency! Well, not glad you are having trouble, but you know... Our agent has been so hard to get a hold of! I wrote her two weeks ago to get some particulars about the Adventurer's Club (whether there will be tickets or a checkin list at the event, what we will be eating, so on.) and couldn't get any answers. I'm going to send another email on Wednesday. Let me know if you guys hear anything!!

14 days until we leave!!

Oh! I'm sorry you're having trouble too. What a shame. I know we're not difficult people; I wonder what the issue is. What a missed opportunity for them. :sad2:

Let me know what you find out too. I am very interested in what we'll be eating.

I know DisneyDeeva was talking about a mini meet before the dinner so maybe we can get together then? Or I'll see you there. Can I recognize you again by your Vera? ;)

I will PM you right now! I would love to meet you and your DH. Thanks for the vote of confidence in the plans.

Good call on the planning DVD. Have that around here somewhere. And OH how I adore Mary Poppins. :cloud9:

-----------

3 weeks from tonight I will be in WDW... finishing day five of my trip. Just sitting down with Jen and Paula for our special Brown Derby dinner. I'm sure our waiter will be cute. ;) Ordering some yummy food and maybe some yummy wine. Can't wait to exit into a closed park for some neat pictures. :cloud9:

Just saw your pm and I already put you in my cell.....so here's to a Dis meet to start your trip :banana:and to end mine. :sad1:

I almost forgot....my very favorite Disney movie is Toy Story. Not because it screams Disney, but because I must have watched it a billion times when my boys were toddlers. They LOVED that movie. I think they had every line memorized. I remember being so impressed by the computer technology. Fascinated, actually!

I know they are not "original" Disney, but boy I love the Pixar movies! They are too cute. Frankly the trailers about Disney World on the DVDS, BEFORE the movie, all make me excited for Disney! It isn't necessarily the movie :lmao:

JUST A FEW SHORT WEEKS NOW! :goodvibes

Hon, I think your plans look great!

I have to say, if you're on the fence about a costume for MNSSHP, what about a Halloween themed tee, or some Mouse ears? Something that's fun and in the spirit, but that you don't have to put a lot of effort into. :goodvibes

Also,

I know this will shock you,

but if I could only watch one movie....

and one movie only...

before I went to Disney.

It would be Pirates. :lmao: I know, I know, pick your chin up off the floor, savvy? :lmao:

Actually, I'm enteratining the notion of watching one Disney movie every night the week before we go. Get me in the spirt. DS can pick one, I can pick one, DH can pick one, and then we'll do some surprise ones. And definitely, watching any Disney film always puts me in that Disney spirit and gets me ready for vacation. :thumbsup2

I can only pick one movie??? ;)

For a trip during Food and Wine, it would be Ratatouille.

For a trip with a Halloween party thrown in, it would be The Adventures of Ichabod Crane (which also includes Mr. Toad on the same DVD).

For a trip that includes henna tattoos, it would be Aladdin.

For a trip that includes the Adventurer's Club, it would be...hmmm...that's a tough one...I will have to think about that one.

C....I love your plans, I think they are amazing and I can't wait to join you on so many different adventures LOL!!!! We are going to have an amazing time!! I have to agree with everyone else I think its just the blahs and I've been having them and then really excited, then panicked, and then really excited!!! It's a crazy of a roller coaster the next few weeks will be LOL!!

If I could only watch 1 Disney Movie...Beauty and the Beast...its classic...funny, romantic, amazing music...IT'S FRENCH LOL!! We need you learning some French phrases ASAP LOL!!

Have a great week C!!!

For a trip that includes the Adventurer's Club, it would be...hmmm...that's a tough one...I will have to think about that one.

For some reason I thought of Swiss Family Robinson. Maybe because they were sort of Adventurers

I think I'd watch the latest planning DVD to get me in the mood. Otherwise it would be Mary Poppins.

Yeah, does the old planning DVD count? It was better, even though Luke sort of overplayed his role.

A cartoon Disney movie - Lion King.
A Pixar Disney Movie - Toy Story.
A real people Disney movie - Mary Poppins.

I know. I cheated.
But I got it from CP.
She didn't say just one either! ;)

I can't wait, Mary Ellen! I hope the timing works. :goodvibes I love the Toy Story movie. I haven't seen it in YEARS. I think I may actually have it on VHS somewhere...

I know they are not "original" Disney, but boy I love the Pixar movies! They are too cute. Frankly the trailers about Disney World on the DVDS, BEFORE the movie, all make me excited for Disney! It isn't necessarily the movie :lmao:

I didn't even know there were Disney trailers on there. I am SO not a big movie person. I did like the Incredibles a lot!

Thanks, TK. LOVE your idea of a movie a night. That is PERFECT! Does DS get that you are going to see the mouse again? Is he excited? Sorry, I don't have kids so I have no frame of reference on what they might be understanding or oblivous to.

Pirates. I do love Johnny Depp. All the way back to 21 Jump Street. Yummy.

A t-shirt sounds like a great idea. And I even have some DISigns. Now I just have to find the time to make them. And figure out how to hook my laptop up to the printer. It's only been a year. :rolleyes1

Good options, CP. I may have to pick all of them. How many movies can I watch in two weeks via netflix. Actually as I'm thinkng about it I wonder if I own Aladdin on VHS too. Hmmm...

:lmao: I know one French phrase but I don't think it is family friendly. Which may be PERFECT! :lmao::lmao: I did see Beauty & the Beast way back when in the theatre but it may be time for another viewing!

For some reason I thought of Swiss Family Robinson. Maybe because they were sort of Adventurers

How funny. SFR is actually already in my queue. I loved that movie as a kid and was absolutely fascinated walking through their tree house seeing what they could make out of common ingredients/materials. I actually haven't walked through on my past two trips and am looking forward to doing so this time for nostalgic purposes. And I hear you can get some great pictures from the top!

That was my first thought, too, but then I flaked and thought of Jumanji which isn't even a Disney movie.

Jumanji! I haven't seen that either. Although I run hot and cold on Robin Williams. Sometimes I love him and sometimes not so much. :sad2:

Yeah, does the old planning DVD count? It was better, even though Luke sort of overplayed his role.

Good choices, MeMom! And you're right, if CP can pick a few so can you. I do adore Mary Poppins. That may be my favorite movie ever. I own that one so that is for sure. And since I'm pretty sure I have Toy Story that could be a contender too (just have to find it!). Loved Lion King so that could be another winner. I'm also thinking about Jungle Book or Lady and the Tramp.

---------

I think the funk has lifted and I am officially excited. Two weeks from tomorrow at the is exact moment I will be touching down in Orlando and getting ready for the fake monorail! :cheer2:

I called Disney on my split reservation and while I couldn't link the two per se I am hopeful that I won't have to switch rooms. I also made my requests for a king size bed and an Epcot view so we'll see. The CM I talked to said Beach Club didn't have full balconies which I know isn't true thanks to the DIS so not sure I'm entirely confident but I've done what I can. He recommended that I NOT do online check in so I can explain what I'm trying to do with the two ressies so I guess I'll go the old fashioned route. Any differing opinions?

No matter what I know it will be a GREAT trip and I am so looking forward to meeting so many DIS'ers!!! :yay::yay::yay:

Congrats on hitting the two-week mark! I had a moment of panic when I realized that tomorrow will be my three-week mark, and I have done nothing to get ready since making my initial reservation and ADRs!

LOL Jackie I'm with you on the panic thing...oh yes I am!!!! YAY for the 2 week mark C...how much fun is that!!! I'm really looking forward to meeting you and having a great time together!!!

HMMM 1 French phrase...I bet I know the one you know LOL :rolleyes1

I'm not sure about the online check in...I have thought about it but then I have to pay for my dining upon arrival so I'm not sure how that works if I have online checked in...besides I'm not even sure if DVC can do online check in LOL!!

Hi C!
I'm sorry I haven't visited in awhile....it's been crazy here with school starting and all! But that doesn't mean I'm not thinking of you!! I hope you're well and I can't believe our trips are SO close! I'm getting panicy myself.... Hope you're well!!!:goodvibes

That's okay for you to ask! This year more than ever, DS is fully aware that he's going to Disney World. I think having been in December cemented the concept for him. Whereas last year, at 3.5, he was excited and he knew we were going, this year he's more aware of time and its passing, and he's remembering specific things. Like swimming in the Hippy Dippy Pool and the Donald ride in Mexico. So this year, the we've definitely upped the ante on excitement in this house.

Pirates. I do love Johnny Depp. All the way back to 21 Jump Street. Yummy.

I admire Johnny Depp in all his many roles, but I have to say that I am in love with Jack Sparrow. Just don't tell my DH. :lmao:

A t-shirt sounds like a great idea. And I even have some DISigns. Now I just have to find the time to make them. And figure out how to hook my laptop up to the printer. It's only been a year. :rolleyes1

:lmao:

Glad to hear that you're getting excited! Oddly enough, in some weird symbosis of the DIS, I got really excited today too! :thumbsup2

OH lets all panic together... then we can consider it therapeutic, not OCD...

:lmao:

I am trying to keep plans for September and plans for December straight in my head!!! BUT I did score some new ADRs, so I can't wait to share! I am nervous about the online check in if I have made a room request...

But hey, no worries, it is DISNEY after all!! :yay:

Glad to hear that you're getting excited! Oddly enough, in some weird symbosis of the DIS, I got really excited today too! :thumbsup2

You aren't kidding, but I think there is something to it -- today when I was driving home from school I was hit by an absolute wave of giddiness about the trip -- then I was knocked over by another wave of panic.

LOL Jackie I'm with you on the panic thing...oh yes I am!!!!

I don't think I have ever felt so unprepared for a trip before!

OH lets all panic together... then we can consider it therapeutic, not OCD...

:lmao:

:lmao::rotfl::rotfl2: I like your reasoning!

Your plan looks great!! I'm so jealous!!

If I had to pick 1 movie...

Well, Peter Pan is my all time fav but there so many great disney movies!!

To really get you in the mood look at some of the ride videos, parades etc on youtube!! My kiddos love to watch those!! If you have a vacation planning DVD watch that as well!

I agree with the suggestion that if your not sure about wearing a halloween costume think about a tee shirt or something. Take a look at the disign board! There is soooo much good stuff on there!

Enjoy the rest of your countdown and just remember all the fun your going to have!
