Break away lanyards

I bought lanyards at Walmart to out our resort key/ticket/charging card in. They have the breakaway feature on them. My fear is that this would make me an easy target for a thief. One quick tug and my whole Disney existence is gone! Not to mention I had planned on keeping some cash tucked in there just in case. Is there some way to prevent this? I know this is Disney, but criminals are everywhere these days.

tie them in a knot right where the break away is.. or sew them together...just a thought

We use the same ones............simply tie the ends in a knot together just below the velcro and then velcro the end together - you now have the knot and the velcro to ensure they don't come off. They are plenty long enough for this to work.

Just wondered where in walmart one would look for these? I think that would be great for our trip too but wasn't sure where they'd be.

They are usually around the wallets and keychains in the jewelry section. They are great to have for tickets, fast passes, etc. They are .99 at Walmart and around $5 at WDW!!!!!!!!!!

This answered my question I asked yesterday--Thanks. I went on e-Bay and order neck wallets for me and my DH, but I wanted cute lanyards for the DGC. One more question==do the parkpasses come with a plastic case that can be hooked to the lanyards?

When DD used these before her pin bag I would just push a small ZIPTIE through and it would hold very good even under the weight of the pins.

I didn't find this type at my Walmart the first time I looked. Then I happened to look again another day and there they were! I got the last two and they were 97 cents. They had another type that clips on your shirt, but you had to unsnap the little pouch to get whatever was inside out. With this kind, it is like a ziploc closure. They were over by the jewelry in my Walmart, NOT by the wallets, so look in both places and maybe ask.

Went to a different walmart and found them in jewelry just like you said thanks!!

The passes don't come with anything to attach to the lanyard, you would need it to have a container(pounch at the bottom)

I just bought all of ours at Claire's Boutique for 50 cents each! They were all on there 10 for $5 rack!
