Bread pudding... made with rolls?

We have a bunch of rolls that are 2 days old... I was thinking about making bread pudding with them so they don't go to waste. That should work right?
 
I think it would work very well. They say older bread is best anyway.
 
As long as they're not yeast rolls or flavored with garlic,onion or similar. Aren't they rock hard? That might be a problem too.
 

I'm sure that they will work fine, but pay attention to the salt balance. "Dinner" or "Parker-House" type rolls tend to be a bit saltier than the traditional French bread that most recipes call for.
 
Oh...now you have me craving bread pudding!! My favorite is made with panettone and an orange sauce.

It is pretty good.... no sauce, no nuts, no raisins... just bread pudding. :thumbsup2
