Brave!!

Just got back from the theatres to watch Brave and I just have to say, I LOVED IT!!!!

It was such a wonderful story and I loved the effort that Pixar put into it. Beautiful landscapes, amazing soundtrack, wonderful characters, and a nice tribute to a land and culture where tradition and magic are intertwined in the souls of the people.

I know my local paper gave it a so-so review (I figure they aren't true Disney/Pixar fans) so I wanted to let all of my DISer friends that from a true Disney and Pixar lover, go watch.

And the short played at the beginning, La Luna, was a very sweet story and again, lovely animation.

Oh, be sure to stay to the end after the credits. There is a scene that is pretty funny relating to the story.

I'm glad to hear that because I've heard the same thing from reviewers. I figured I had to see for myself. Hopefully I'll get a chance to go next week.

One of pixars best!! Even though I love them all!! It was fantastic!! Will be watching it again on my cruise in 2 weeks!

ETA: We loved it! DH and I think it is definitely on par with Cars, not quite up to the high high standard of Finding Nemo or Toy Story, but an excellent film nevertheless. DD really loved it and as Grandma just gave her money for the Disney Store, have a hunch some Brave purchase is about to come home with us.

Sounds good, I can't wait to see it! I never give reviews much credibility... after all it's just one person's opinion right? I'm sure I like lots of movies other people may not like! If I'm interested in seeing something I do, even if I've heard it's not great because I may love it!

Our family saw it Friday. It was so funny. We were laughing the whole time We all really enjoyed it. I never trust "official" reviews. I've found over the years so many of the movies they love I hate and vice versa.

it is such an awesome movie! My DD3 and I saw it last Wednesday.

The bear fights scared her a bit, but otherwise she loved it.

I absolutely loved it. Mainly because I'm a curly haired redhead - Team Merida!

awww we LOVED the movie!! Soo, sooooo cute!! The kids cracked up and want to see it again so bad! I decided the hubs and I will need to go take a pic of Merida on our trip so that the kids will be able to see the "real" one, as they won't be going back to Dland for at least a year!

I'm still pretty ticked that it won't be showing at the DTD theater when we get there Saturday. I won't have my kids with my until then, so I can't go see it here, they'd kill me.
