My DH's 7-day PH with NE and WPM from Undercover Tourist just arrived in the mail. He still has 4 days left on his old NE ticket. We are using those 4 days this December and next June. We do not plan on using the new ticket until Fall 2017. I am assuming we should not link it to our Disney Experience account until he is ready to use it, correct? Or is there a safety reason to go ahead and link it?

It's "safer" not to link it until you need to use it for making FP+ reservations and/or to enter a park.

Only out of curiosity...why is it 'safer' not to link it? Currently we have 4 days left on a NE ticket however, my husband and I purchased the 10 day PH and WPFM NE tickets from Undercover Tourist when they had them and I had this inner monologue with myself whether to link or not to link...I ended up linking it but now you have me worried that I chose to do that.

It is safer because you don're need to worry about prioritizing the tickets for use. If there are different tickets attached to the account, then the wrong ticket may be used for entry to a park if not prioritized correctly in Disney's system. I think this may be more an issue if one ticket is not NE.

How do you link old NE tickets to MDE app? There's no barcode on our ticket to scan and no number to enter in the app. I'm guessing we won't be able to link them and use FP+ until we arrive at the park??? thx!

Am I misreading this? I didn't think that non-expiring tickets were still available.

Glad I'm not the only one that thought that. OP, are you certain that the NEW tickets are non-expiring? I thought those were no longer available.

I think it is a "brand new question" about never expiring tickets. Not a question about "brand new never expiring tickets". The wording could be taken either way.
:)

Zombie thread - the NE tix in question were bought almost a year ago
