Brand New Member- Waitlist question

I just got my packet yesterday and am so excited. WOOOO HOOO.

I am looking at wait listing a reservation request. I will not have enough points even if I borrow points from next year. If i have points transferred into my account from someone else before making the wait list request. Will DVC fulfill my wait list if it comes through since I had points transferred in. I would assume if I don't have the points they won't fill the reservation anyways.

I'm not sure your question is clear, if you get transferred points you will have sufficient. If you have insufficient points MS will cancel the wait list if the reservation becomes available and you can't book it.

I think you may have answered it for me. I just want to make sure that if I transfer in points before I make a waitlist request - Member services will know to use the transferred points to complete the reservation.

If you have enough points without using the transferred points (either through banking or borrowing) and you said it was ok to bank/borrow to complete a waitlist, I would call if it comes through. Verify which points were used.

If, you only have enough points with transferred points, you should be fine. What we've noticed is when transferred points aren't needed, they get overlooked. Same as we can't see them on the website, it seems MS Reps don't easily see them at times etiher. I've had to correct bookings where we had transferred points and MS kept forgetting to use them.
