If the queens are really smaller than a standard queen, I have a feeling my teen (16) DS won't want to share a bed with his teen (16) friend. Is there enough floor space for us to use an air mattress for one of them to sleep on? thanks:scratchin

The queens did not seem small to us. We were just there a few weeks ago and the room we were in had standard queens from what I could tell.

We are planning on checking into CSR on June 9 and have decided that we'd love to try Casitas 5, since we've stayed in Ranchos 7B and Cabanas 9B. My question is, do you think that the Casitas 5 building will be finished by then since they are working on it now? I remember someone saying that they thought each building took about a month to refurbish. I know nothing is set in stone, but just wanted some opinions...:goodvibes

Ok don't be upset with me but, I'm going back! My father will be in WDW the last week of May so of course I have to go visit. Can't wait CSR here I come, again.:thumbsup2

:scared1: what?? Not be upset with you 'cuz you get to go to CSR twice within a short time????? :scared1:

Well, okay...I;m happy for you!! Have a great time!!! :woohoo:

Personally, DH and I never use the buses (we rent a car and drive everywhere). However, most people state that they've never had a problem getting on a bus because it is overcrowded. You might have to stand, but as you indicated, that is not a bother to you. I think perhaps after closing at one of the parks you mkight have to wait for a second bus, but not going to the parks from the CSR.

I've stayed at CSR a number of times (in the spring and fall, not peak season) and have never had to stand to go to the parks. Coming back after fireworks I have had to stand a couple of times, but this is the same for most resorts. Two more days to go and I'll be there again :cloud9: :cool1::cool1::cool1:

I have a question for all CSR experts (especially JamesLynn):

We booked the 4/3 deal for June 6-13. We wanted to stay one more night, so we booked a room only reservation on the 13th.

Needless to say, although we know we have to check out and back in on the 13th, we'd really prefer to stay in the same room on our extra night.

When do we mention the second reservation: when we send our room request, during online check in, or during face-to-face check in?

It would really be nice to not have to haul all our luggage to another room, and instead just hit the aprks that day after checking out/in .

Thanks, everyone, for this wonderfully informative thread!

I don't have a "definate" answer, but I have done this a couple of times, once at CSR and once at POR. This was before online check in was available. When I booked, they told me to mention it when I checked in at the resort. Both times, I mentioned it at check in and did not have any problems and was able to stay in the same room. I did have to go to the front desk to check in and out again though , but it took just a few minutes.

We leave bright and early Sunday morning for CSR as well!

I will have my iPhone and can check the thread while there. So... if anyone has any questions, please let me know! I would be more than happy to find out answers for you or take pictures of anything!

Everyone on this thread has been so helpful in planning my Disney trip and now I am more than happy to return the favor for others.

I read on another thread that Rix actually has pretty good coffee. Is that true? Maybe I won't have to bring my own from home this trip.:)

Happy Mother's Day to all ur CSR Mom's! :goodvibes

We're off to Charleston until late Wednesday, so for all those leaving have a fantastic trip!!! :goodvibes

We have changed our plans for what seems like the hundredth time. According to my daughter, Skippy Jon Jones, her stuffed Siamese cat that thinks it's a chihuahua (from a popular children's book) wants to stay at Coronado Springs. (I had talked that resort up to her at one point, and it stuck in her head.)

We have moved from Wilderness to CSR back to Wilderness to POFQ and now back to CSR. We have changed our travel dates from Halloween to September, to Thanksgiving and now to (almost) Christmas. (for assorted reasons!)

Once I got everything settled with our dates availability (free dining pin!), my daughter said "that is IT! No more changing!" :rotfl:

Anyway, I am hoping that CSR is beautiful for the holidays. I KNOW we'll love the queen beds, and I know my daughter and Skippy will be happy there.

This is a great thread!

We are booked here November 25th-28th before we get on the Magic.

When do the resort xmas decorations go up?

Linda

Can any of you CSR experts answer this for me? We'll be on the dining plan. If we eat at Pepper Market, is that a place to tip? I know it's a counter service credit, but I have read something about them adding a 10% gratuity? If this is true, is it included in the dining credit? If someone brings something to my table I would of course tip them something, so I was wondering how that works.

I've read several reports on other threads about the Pepper Market staff being rude and the food not being good. I'm hoping to hear about better experiences. Or should we plan to eat in the parks?

Yahoo! We just checked in to CSR online! I had two questions -

*There was a place to request a fridge and said that fee would be paid at check in. I didn't check it, because I thought all rooms had fridges. Can someone confirm?

*My magical express time was 12 am. Do I need to change this or does it not really matter?

We are headed out of town today for my grandfather's funeral. Thanks for all of the thoughts for my family.

Happy Mother's Day to all my wonderful CSR family Moms. Hope you all have a magical day whatever you are doing today. I'm off to breakfast with the family and a massage (gift from my son) later today. I'll be back tonight to answer any questions that may have popped up.

I can't answer about the magical express time as we've never used it. Just ignore the fridge thing. That is generic on the online check in because you have to pay for it at the values. You will have a fridge and there will be NO charge.
