RocketCityMama...I'm from Alabama too...just south of B'ham.

Awesome! I am in Huntsville aka Rocket City lol

I have 3 friends that will be at WDW around the same time too, all from here hehe we'll have to have a Alabama Mini Convention!:rotfl:

We will be there 5/28 - 6/4. Will be celebrating DS 16th birthday. Also DD(22) and DD BF are graduating from college. Lots of celebrations and I know it will be a blast.:yay::yay:

Can't Wait!!

Awesome. We are celebrating our 4 yr anniversary too!!

Happy Anniversary Piglet843 and tofubeast; we celebrated our 25th at CSR in September and it was a PERFECT place to celebrate our special occasion.

We are going August 28-Sep 3...free dining promo. 2 rooms at CSR...can't wait.

:cheer2::cheer2::cheer2:

:banana::banana:

Does the Ranchos section have many water views besides the quiet pool near 7B or the little bit of lake you can see from the corner of 6A? I've looked thru the CSR photos thread, and really didn't see any.

We currently have a water view booked because when I called for free dining thats all they had. And I have requested Cabanas 8A or 8B, because we stayed in Casitas last time, and I wanted a change.

But, as I read all of these threads, and I think about my currently injured foot, I am wondering if my smartest move would be to just request a building as close as possible to a bus stop,like Ranchos 6A just incase my plantar fascia acts up again during trip time. We really don't care what our room view is anyway.
And if we request Ranchos, would it be worth it to keep the water view?
I could shave about $200 off our ressie if standard view is available.

What do ya think?

I can't answer that because we've never stayed in the Ranchos. We've always done Casitas and on all but one of our seven trips we've had a view of the Lake.

Yippee! Just paid in full! Well, actually I put it on my Disney Visa card to get the points, THEN I'll pay the card off next week:cool1::cool1:

Can't wait to be in double digits!!:)

Double digits will be here before you know it.

5 days!!!! woohoooooooo :cool1:

I am so jealous of all of you with these trips coming up so soon. :sad1:

Hi folks,
I'm sure this has been answered in this thread before, but gosh there are just too many pages to read through!:eek:
Is there any way to get a microwave in our room? If so, how and is there a daily charge?
Thanks so much...6 more days til we leave Idaho behind for the magic:thumbsup2

Has anyone shipped a package recently? I was planning to send one in May and was wondering if there indeed was a fee. I had read that there was and that there wasn't. If so, how much? I'm trying to plan extra fees like this out of our money.

Thanks for any help!!!!

You can request a microwave when you check in (it is first come, first served). There is NO charge.

Is it OK to use a toaster in the room? I saw them on the fridge swap pages. I would love to bring one to use in the mornings.

Silly question......do the new queen beds have room under the beds??? To maybe tuck away a suitcase or......half a dozen pairs of shoes???? The beds at SSR have room underneath them but our room at POP did not.
Silly I know but 4 people in one room 2 of them teens....space is going to be at a premium!!!:lmao:

No, the new queen beds are on platforms and there is no storage underneath.

I never have an issue with space. There's a good amount of space in the sink area, under the clothing rod and under the sink cabinet. There's also room between the fridge cabinet and the short wall of the sink area.

I don't like to put my clothes in the drawers, but I do keep my shoes in them. I keep our clean clothes in our suitcases.

Those are the only water views in the Ranchos.

How are the prices at Panchitos? Much higher than typical grocery store? We'll have a rental car so taking a ride to local store is no big deal...as long as not too far away. Anyone know if a Publix type store close by?

Truthfully, other than t-shirts, etc., we don't normally buy anything in Panchitos as we too rent a car (we usually stop at Hess Gas Station and get a case of water, some pop and a few other items (bag of chips, etc.). I would guess Panchitos is higher than a grocery store, but don't know how much higher. There is a Publix on International Drive: 2925 International Dr
