Okay, what are these two ottomans I keep reading about? Have I missed a pic somewhere?

Ok I was wondering the same thing. Did I miss something too!! But I went back and looked and you are right Buzz, I can see them now. I hope you can see them too. Thought I was losing it at 1st.:lmao:

They are dark leather so they kind of blended into the background.

No table?? Hmmm, decisions.

I wonder how well my kids could eat some cereal with just an ottoman to sit on ... But I would love a renovated room and want to stay in the cabanas. Man oh man, decisions

I wonder how they have the king bed rooms set up. Since there is only one bed I wonder if they have a table. Did you see any of those rooms? DS and I have a king room because it is all they had left when we made our ressie. He is only 6 so it is enought for the two of us.

I stayed in a King room in Cabana 9B and the pics you see above in your post is how the room looks, it has the king bed, the Console/bureau with the TV on top, and the refrig. There are 2 bedside tables, and the doors that slide to seperate the room from the bathroom area. They are exactley the same as the pics Buzz has except for the kingsize bed. There was plenty of room in this room for us, and it was just my husband and I.

You can pull them up to the desk to fit your kids.

Hi Buzz,

I'm still making my way through your thread, but WOW, that pizza at the PM looks.......LIKE REAL PIZZA!!! Not the generic WDW pizza. Did your DD say it was very good? Also, I noticed the menu only has topping pizza's-will they make a plain cheese one?

Thanks!

They are made to order. They have the dough which they actually roll out and put the toppings on. This pizza is NOT to be confused with the pizza on the children's meal. That pizza while also made from scratch is one slice and starts to look dried out and chewy. IMO. My son and I could not eat a pizza by ourselves btw. It is good size.

Thanks for all your time and effort you put into these sites....

going to csr in june with dw and dgd. How far out would they except a request to a room (seems cabanas are you suggestion, and we would be at the parks and pool the most with a 9 yr old). Also, we were there a number of years ago, and do not remember a frig. Do all rooms (either remodeled or not) have refrigerators ??

Have you eaten at the Maya Grill, and if so, your opinion please. (on ddp).

Thanks for your efforts.

All moderate resorts have fridges in each room. You should put your request for a specific location in with your reservation. We are hoping to try Cabanas in September. We've stayed in the Castias seven times and really love it, but thought we'd try a new section this year.

We've done breakfast at the Maya Grill. It is a buffet--no better, no worse than most Disney buffets. We've not tried dinner yet.

I switched our park days around & now we will not be able to have breakfast at Tusker house(I keep calling but no availability). So I was thinking we could have breakfast here, do you think I need to make ADR's? We would like to go when it 1st opens in the morning.

Unless you notice a really large convention in town, I would say no. We've walked in twice as soon as they opened.

Question about Faxing in room request. I have made my requests when I booked, but this is the 1st time staying at the Coronado, so I am going to try to fax in the request also. I am part of a Grand Gathering, the 1st room is checking in 2 days before the rest of us. I know they will try thier best to put us all in the same area. I have read you should fax in about 3 days before any request. So should I fax in the 1st rooms request noting the grand gathering number and wait and fax in the other rooms later? Or should I fax them all in together at the same time on the same request? :confused3

Hi very nice photos. I have booked a standard room here. I seem to do a lot of changes to my reservations when on these boards. Is this a standard room? Is it necessary to book the water view room? I absolutley hope to not get the ranchos section. We live in TX and that would not seem to be a real treat for us. It is 200 extra dollars that I would of course prefer to spend elsewhere but I want a good experience close to something. not isolated away from too much.

Standard view & water view rooms are in each section & each building; your odds of getting Ranchos or any other section won't change by booking one or the other.

I had no choice but to book a waterview room to get the 4/3 deal; no standard was available. It was a lovely view, but since the outside corridors go right outside our window, I tended to keep the drapes closed anyway! So to me, it's certainly not worth the money, although coming out the door and seeing the lake was nice.

If we can get a room at the CSR (right now - sold out for Easter 2010) - what if we ended up in the last Casita (#5) or the Rancho's.

How far is the actual walk to the Pepper Market ?

Is it 1/2 a mile walk ?
7-10 minutes at a moderate pace ?

Will we hate it if we get the Rancho's or Casita #5 ?
I know we will be closer to the main pool and first bus stops to the parks with Casita #5 and Rancho's.

Can the refillable mugs be refilled somewhere near the pool and not have to wlak to the PM ?

ALSO - Pepper Market gratuity - if you are on DDP and PM accepts it - are you still charged the 18% gratuity if you sit down at a table ?

Thanks !!! :goodvibes

We normally always stay in Casitas 5 and it takes me five minutes to walk to the main building (I am 50+ and I walk by myself or with my 50+ DH).

You can refill your mugs at Siestas by the pool, but they are only open from 11 until 7.

The gratuity is 10%, not 18%. Pepper Market is on the Dining Plan. There is a difference of opinion as to whether or not the 10% is included or not. We did not pay it in September; some people have said they did and others have said they did not pay it.

My hubby will be in a VIP room for a few days and I will be there with my older daughter for a few days after he leaves. She has a waterview and we were wondering if we should request a room close to his.
Where are the VIP rooms? My daughter was going to request a Cabana room, should she do that? Walking is not an issue for us and no worries about catching buses.
Thanks for any help.pirate:
