Amy pictures of renovated rooms yet? Put in a request for Cabanas 9 a or 9b. These rooms have been renovated already, correct?

Yes, they have been renovated. Go to the Resort Photos thread and there are lots of pictures of the renovated rooms.

Well, I just booked CSR for a June trip with the 7 for 4 deal because I couldn't pass up getting the deal :lmao: . We've already got another trip booked for August, but it's beyond the dates for the promotion.

I haven't stayed at a moderate since 2000 - and I really don't remember much about the experience, LOL. Plus, I'm traveling without my husband and this will be my son's first trip without the stroller. :scared: So now I'm a little worried about the size of this resort and am imagining carrying a sleeping 50 lb kid across this huge place once we get off the bus. I went with CSR because it appears to have the best transportation of the mods and room service (my kid can't fathom a hotel without room service). But now, of course, I'm second-guessing myself (as always).

Just tell me it's all good, okay? It's me and a 5 year old boy just hanging out for a week in June... I guess I should put in a room request and make sure we're close to a bus stop.

On the first page, there are picutres of the room.. cabanas I believe..
is that what they look like now?? Is that before or after refurb?

Am really really hoping that's before the refurb and not the room I'll be checking into come March..

Thanks for answers!

First page is the rooms as they were and still are. Note that the rehab will not be completed until October 09 and therefore only a portion of the resort has had its rehab.

I'm sure this question has already been asked and answered, so I apologize. We were booked to stay at CBR, but we want to add a day so we'll have to change our reservation to CSR to do it. Just want to make sure that all the rooms are rennovated with the new queen beds. I think I read somewhere that there are some that have not been rennovated, but those are being reserved for new king rooms. Is that correct?

Thanks all. Quick update: Mark won the first round and is now in the Semi-Finals!!!!
Wow that is great! So happy for you - so exciting! My son just started playing soccer and I see many days as a sports mom in my future! :)

I have a question that I can't find the answer for on the website & reading through the threads. I thought maybe some of the CSR experts might now.

There is a bakery at CSR, but I'm thinking it is a "snack" bakery. I'm looking to get my son a birthday cake for our visit. We're trudging to Ohana that am - and then to DHS, and then to TRex for dinner - but I was hoping to maybe have a cake in our room to suprise him with when we come in for our nap - he'll be 5.

Does anyone know if you can arrange something like that? I read somewhere that GF no longer does it for resorts rather than GF. I've read the cake threads and no one seems to ever say that CSR is doable.

Ranchos 6a is closed and is almost complete. The room have been painted and they were moving furniture in today. Not sure why they skip around but another building is almost done.

So I've got a King room reserved for June. Should all the rooms be refurbished by then??

And the CM told me that King rooms are essentially in 'preferred' locations and that reserving a King room is similar to a preferred room at other resorts. Is this true? I'm not sure I'm buying it (reserved the King for the King, so it's not a big deal - just curious if he was right).

I got a question. I will be arriving at CSR this Sunday for conference. I wondered about the lounge. Is this lounge open to any and all conference guests or only those who stay in Cabanas?

We are SERIOUSLY considering CSR for our next trip (our first mod ever!). Here's my question- I know that it's really spread out- do guests notice this much? Do you have to walk really really far from, say, where you check in to your room, or where you eat to your room?? I know it has it's own bus... but with 4 or so stops... I would just like more details! We watched the planning DVD and it definately looked like the 'nicest' mod!

Sorry, but I don't think it's all that far to walk. Now with tired kids or late at night anything is far.
It's such a beautiful place I have never noticedpirate:

I just booked at the Coronado Springs Resort. It will be our first trip to Disney World and also our Honeymoon. We were booked at the Caribbean Beach Resort but after finding this awesome thread decided this resort is a better fit. We will be going August 31 thru September 6 2009. Has anyone spent any time at Rix Lounge? We are 24 and will probably want to go out at night. Jelly Rolls looks cool but Rix is definitly closer!

just got back Saturday from 10 days at CSR. 1st time there (we usually go Port Orleans) and I think the place converted us. Really nice place! The Pepper Market is the best, holy crap are the beef fajita's good! The nightclub....dang the name is escaping me....is nice too for mom and dad when grandma is watching the kids. And the kids LOVED the pool area, its on par with the more expensive resorts' pools without the coronary-inducing price tag. We'll definitely be heading back there next time we go.

The lounge is open only to convention guests whose company paid for the service.

Rix Lounge is very nice and very upscale. It was voted most trendy bar in Orlando.

Maybe I missed something, but could this person be refering to the Rix Lounge? In which case it's open to all adult guests. The Club room lounges, as Buzz stated, are only for those who paid for it's use.

Bell services can/will bring you to your room with your bags. Some places can be far, up to a 1/2 mile. That would be the furthest building.
