Brag on POFQ

Just got back from a week at WDW and wanted to post a very positive review about Port Orleans French Quarter. Although the parks and resorts were at near capacity all week, not one time did we feel crowded or stressed at the resort. It's very compact, a short walk to anywhere, and the only long bus ride was AK. There are 1000 rooms here, but we seldom stood in line at the food court and never at the bus station. Pool got a little crowded, but it is way cool, our kids (11 and 15) enjoyed it.

Food at the food court was way better than I expected - much better than CBR. It's not five star, but good variety and very well prepared. The breakfast beignets are most proper.

The only other resort we've stayed at was CBR, in 2001. This was hands down better.

Thanks for your review,I found out that FQ is soldout for my( value) dates in December and I have seriously thought about changing resorts but your review has helped me decide to keep my ressie there.!!!! :

We stayed there last Agust and it was great! Easy walks to the bus and food court. Very quiet. The pool was really nice. We will be going back to the POFQ again in July. Can't wait! (Just anxious for some AP codes).

Oh, I'm so glad to hear this!!! We've only been to CBR (10/2003) and while it was okay, the walks were long and the mildew on the walls put us off. (We chaulked the mildew up to the extreme Florida humidity.) We'll be at POFQ in four weeks and I'm really excited!!!!!!
