I just booked my first cruise on the Wonder. I booked a category 12 and looking forward to my upgrade, but I would like to know everyone experiences booking a category 12.

Are you a party of 4 people in that Cat 12? That is only way to guarantee an upgrade to at least a Cat 11. If you booked less than 4 people in the Cat 12 there is no guarantee at all that you will be upgraded.

Yep....four of us in a category 12.

I think you're in good shape. This is only our 7th cruise and we've always booked an 11 or 12 - but we have yet to stay in them! 2 of the cruises we upgraded to an 8 at port, but the other 5 cruises they have upgraded us to a 9 or 10, It's been great!!

My travel agent messed up and changed our room to 3 and 3 . ( long story behind it ) I then find out that cat 12 is only for three. This is now a prob since I dont know that my son is going to want to sleep there at least every night. Now if he changes his mind were in trouble.

We had 2 adults booked in cat 12 and got upgraded to cat 9 but didn't find out until we went to the original cat 12 room. This was in Aug 1998 on a 3 night Magic cruise. We are going back this time on a 3 night Wonder in January to celebrate our 10th anniversary after 6 nights at Disney World along with two kids. This time we booked a cat 10 room and not expecting an upgrade.

I have checked my rezy a zillion times to see if we have a room noas we also booked a 12, patience is a virtue(that I havent got)

I know about that. We were not sure if we could really come up with the money and now after all these months we paid it off last night . Now they expect me to sit around another 3 months to see where im sleeping!!

We have two category 12s booked for our family of six. We are leaving six weeks from today!! We have it booked with 3 in each cabin. We just hope our cabins our close together. DH was not real thrilled when I told him that if we were upgraded we could be on different decks. Doesn't mean we don't want one but we would like to be close to each other, too. We should hopefully know in the next 10 days or so!!

There were several people on the board with upcoming September cruises that were upgraded to category 9 this week so it can happen. Good luck to everyone!

On the 8/21 cruise, I was upgraded from a 12 to a 9. We were thrilled.

For our cruise in a couple of weeks, we were upgraded from a 12 to a 9. It was exactly 30 days out that it was listed on dcl's site. I am thrilled with that because I was fully expecting no upgrade because it's just dh & myself.

We booked 3 people very last minute in June for a magic cruise. We booked the category 12 guarantee, but ended up in a category 9. Very nice!!!!

We booked a 12 GTY for 2 people and got an upgrade to a Cat 9 for our upcoming Wonder cruise. We are super happy about it, it was a nice surprise.

In 2004 we were booked (family of 5) in a cat 4, two weeks before were upgraded to a cat 3! It was awesome!!

I hear all the time of people being upgraded from 12 or 11 to 8 and 9. What aboaut those who have booked 10? Any one upgraded from that?

We were upgraded for our upcoming cruise from 12 gty's to 9's and last year we were upgraded from 11's that we had booked specific rooms to 8's and then on another one last year we went from 7 gty's to 5's.
