Braces and metal detectors

Does teeth Braces set of metal detectors, my 15 year old son had them fitted few weeks ago and he wants to know if he will set them off at the airport?

Not unless braces have changed a lot since I had them when I was his age - I didn't set the alarms off then.

No they dont, my DD had hers fitted in May, and she asked the Orthodontist, that question, i never even thought about it, but went through security without any probs.
