Hi all,

We'll be at the World 3/1-3/6. I'd like to bring back a special memento/gift for my best friend's 4 year old princess-crazed daughter. I have two boys, so we know nothing of princesses.

Does anyone have any special ideas? She mentioned that she especially loves Belle and Sleeping Beauty, but I know she loves all of them.

Thanks!

I don't have girls, but when I was there last week I saw a lot of little girls holding these light up wands. They were purple with a star on the top.

you wont have any problemo finding something special for her there....there are tons and tons of special little things around every corner..they have cute little princess hats ..crowns...wands....everything you could imagine....my daughter would have walked out of those parks with everything if i would have let her...

Hi Mainebound-
We just returned with our 2 1/2 year old princess-crazed DD, and like Cyndibelle said, you won't have trouble finding tons of princess stuff. DD found something everywhere we went that she wanted. Anyway, we bought her a few things that might work.

Not sure if this would work for your situation, but her favorite thing is a small photo album with a holographic picture on the front that changes from the princesses to the castle when you move it. We put some pictures from the trip, along with other pictures of friends and family, in it and she loves it.

We also got her a really cute summer hat with all the princesses on it. Even though its still February, she likes to wear it all the time.

We also got her a big package of princess crayons. They're like regular crayons, only that have princesses on top. Honestly, I hate them because the princesses keep breaking off the tops, but she loves them.

Anyway, I'm sure you won't have trouble finding something. Good Luck.

Leslie

The light-up wands would be a great idea. There are also lots of cute princess-themed hats (even a princess hat with Mickey ears :D ). My DD isn't heavy into the princesses but even she loved the hats. There are tons of other items, too, though. And, of course, lots of Tshirts.

Have fun on your trip!

I was going to suggest the crayons too but they do break.

Also, how about sending her a postcard that you've had a princess sign for her.

My DD (4 1/2) wanted to pick out something special on our last day to buy so I brought her in to a store at AK and of all the items there she wanted a Mickey shaped pen. She still LOVES that thing!

We didn't buy this at WDW, but I'm sure you'll find similar there. My DD loves her pink satin princess hat trimmed with tiny roses and a sheer veil, kinda like this...
princess:
But as the others have said there is no shortage of girlie stuff available.

How about getting an autographed photo? Might take some work while you're there to take a photo and get it developed, then find the princess again to have it autographed.. just an idea. Maybe you could just take a photo, have the princesses write a note to the girls, then frame them!

The last time we were in WDW, my DD was 3 y/o and totally into princesses. As someone already suggested, the pink hat with the veil coming down from the top is great. My mother bought one of these for my DD. We also got her a Christmas ornament (can't remember which princess was on it, Cinderella maybe?). She was going to pick out a princess doll (Barbie size), but she ended up choosing Tinker Bell instread.

I'm sure you won't have any trouble finding a princess themed gift. The hard part will be deciding which one to pick. Good luck!

They also have a really cute music/jewlry box with princess on it and a revolving princess in it. I think they have at least 4-5 different ones. (We HAD to have Cinderella so I forget what the others were.) It was $15.00 and is about 7 x 7 x 6 made of heavy covered board (so it would not break in packing.) It reminded me of the kind I had when I was a little girl. very nostalgic. But everyone is right, there are tons of princess items, you'll have trouble deciding!

This is what my DD picked out for herself years ago, and I believe they still have different versions of them. It is a heart shaped pillow in pink and blue, with feathery stuff around the edges and a beautiful cloth "decal" of the princesses on the front. Its not one of the cheesy plastic decals, but its not embroidered. Its like what they would put on a nice shirt. The best part is that it was about 10., and she still has it in her room.

Thank you all so much! These are GREAT ideas! I can't wait to have an excuse to start looking at all this kewl princess gear!

Lots of great ideas here...and two of the best places to get this stuff are in Tinkerbell's Treasures behind the castle in FantasyLand and in the store in the bottom of the castle...in the walkway!

My DD came home with the pink princess hat with the veil, a blue faux-crystal "tennis bracelet" to go with her Cinderella costume, and some Minnie ears!

Be careful...you can spend a bundle!!
