Hey there,
I am a mama of boys, BUT my niece who is 10 will be going with us this year. It will be her first time, I need some advise on what to do special with her. We have some ADRs already, she isn't into any particular princesses. She loves Minnie Mouse.. ? Any ideas? Is she too old for BBB?

Shoot. If I could get away with doing it myself, I would!!! :rotfl2: No woman is EVER too old to be a princess!!!!

BBB could still be fun for her... they have things like Disney Diva and color star which adds color to the hairstyle that can be a little more grown. I have seen women doing the packages too, maybe you could get something done with her... or maybe try Pirates league, they have a mermaid thing they can do that maybe she would like...

My daughter will be 8 on our next trip and she has lost interest in princesses and characters. There's nothing in particular she wants to do outside of the regular attractions.

Ohhhh we wanted to do Pirates League bc I have a 7 year old boy who would love it, I am going to look into that now, thank you :cool1:

BBB is for ages 3-12 only. DD11 is doing BBB this year. Just hair and makeup, though. She will be wearing her own non-princess dress. She did PL at age 9, and also wore her own dress. PL is for everyone age 3 and up.

Awww, I know, I hate it, my son isn't into Buzz Lightyear anymore :worried:
but I think when he SEES Buzz he will feel different.. Im still hoping anyway. :confused3
Now my niece has never seen any characters as this is her first time.

Awesome! I know after looking at the packages, she would only want hair and makeup, but I know she would LOVE it, they have a Knight package I could get for my son too

If I had a daughter, I'd love to take her to tea at Grand Floridian's Garden View Tea Room. I'd did this with some girlfriends and it was so much fun! :goodvibes

If she likes Minnie, the character meal at Cape May (breakfast only) is really cute. It's Minnie, Goofy and Donald in their swim gear. Super cute!

I also like the character greet at Animal Kingdom for Minnie and Mickey where Minnie is wearing her safari gear. And the Hollywood Studios Minnie meet and greet is cute too.

If you have a Burlington's close by, check out their dresses. I got DD this dress for her father/daughter dance (princess themed) a couple months ago. It was only $19.99, and very glittery. She will either wear this one or a new one. Haven't been shopping for a BBB dress yet...

Yeah, I guess a couple years ago they did put an age limit on BBB. Thanks for bringing that up, as I thought adults could still get a "makeover"... I did not know they had made a change on that since it's been a couple years since my girls have done BBB.

We have one Minnie greet planned with our dining ... Chef Mickeys YAY!!

Did you check out the Pirate League. It is for boys and girls. If she is not particularly into princesses, this might be quite a bit of "dress up" fun for her.
Maybe let her choose?

I guess my nieces (I have two boys so our trips with them were a bit different for us) are a bit more mature (I know thats not the right word, but I can't think of a better one)....but they wouldn't be caught dead doing princess stuff or being super into character meals and things like that by the time they were 10. I had taken them both down (one was 7 and on the tail end of princess stuff being acceptable) and one was 9 and way beyond it by that point.

What they did love was SHOPPING and anything to do with the Epcot countries. The one really was into getting a trinket from each country and eating some type of "native" food in each country. The other was really into the pick a pearl thing and looking at the clothes and jewlery in the countries. They also LOVED DTD and all the shops there.

They enjoyed the Princesses and Characters as part of the overall experience because its Disney, but they definitely weren't overly into them.

My DD visited the Pirates league at ages 6 and 10, empress and mermaid package; she also visited the BBB on those visits and earlier this month :)
