Boys, ages 7 and 11

My friends are going to WDW on a trip they have saved for years for...it's likely the only trip they'll take there in ages.....

Parents of boys: what restaurants would you say are not to be missed for a 7 and 11 year old boy?

Toy Story Pizza Planet for counter service. If the kids are extroverted -- 50's Prime Time (not for shy kids). Possibly Whispering Canyon Cafe at WL for some cowboy fun. You can't go wrong at Beaches and Cream.

I agree with Pizza Planet. My kids loved just sitting there and looking at all the Toy Story stuff on the roof. The pizza isn't bad either.

They also liked Whispering Canyon and the shenanigans there. The food we had was very good.

There was something about Chef Mickey's that my kids really liked also. I sure it wasn't the food but they really liked the attention from all the characters even at age 10 and 13!

The most important thing is to enjoy the vacation!

DS is right in the middle of them. He likes Breakfastsarus at AK, rainforest cafe, HDDR, Coral Reef and lunch (Not breakfast with the princess) in the castle. This trip we are going to aslo try Sci- fi, that I think any boy would like. Most kids stick to the kid menu that is about the same anywhere so it's mostly about the theme for them. At 8 or 9 DS really was into the charcter meals more that he is now. They might still like a few of those.

Donald's breakfastosaurus (good food, and donald is his fav. character)
and the fun and food at Prime time cafe

Our son is now 12 and has been to wdw 11 times since he was 4. Favorites at those ages:
Sci fi diner
Donald's breakfastsaurus
O'Hana
Tepannyaki
Liberty Tree-character dinner

He still likes these!
