Boyfriend's parents troubles...

Hi guys

So, on saturday night, my boyfriend can get free tickets to go see a play. He invited me, and I asked my mom, and she said as long as I want to go, its fine.
The problem is his parents are going with us. I really dont want to go with his parents and him (1. because I dont want to hang out with his parents and him at a play and be with them for 6 hours and not get back till one in the morning, 2. I dont wanna stand outside for 6 hours and get more sick and 3. frankly, going with his parents scares me).
ik its silly, but i need advice. his parents havent really met me before, and I kind of want to meet them... gradually?? i guess. idk i just dont want to meet them this weekend and have to spend 6 hours with them while im gettiing fover being sick.
am i being a little kid about this?? I want to skip it, and i have the option to, but am i being selfish about it???

Well if you're just starting to get better and you really don't want to go, i wouldn't. and since this would be your first time being with his parents, 6 hours is a little much. I think they will understand . good luck
