Boy Shakira

I'm with ya'll. We were watching last night and could not believe that belly dancer and the other indian dancer were both put through. There were many other acts that were much better. That really made this show stupid IMO. I don't think we'll watch anymore.

What happened to the guy (human super hero) that had that bad accident last night? I never saw any follow up on his condition.

I agree with what everyone else is saying. I couldn't believe they put through boy shakira and the Indian guy. Both were just aimlessly dancing around the stage, and NOT in a good way. It was sad to see so many TALENTED people not get through so these two could. I mean, they aren't even entertaining.:confused3

He was unconcious for a few minutes then came to. He got up, was ambulatory and lucid. They called and ambulance and he went to the hospital to be checked out. They never updated on his condition and I was on the website this morning and didn't see any mention of him. I'm assuming he was okay. I thought he was dead for a couple of minutes with the way he hit his head on the floor.:sad1:

I'm hoping they have him come back and give him another chance to try out.

Cas Haley is the best singer-musician I've seen in a long, long time. Better than anyone I saw on American Idol.

That magician that cut the surgeon in half was amazing!

I find myself strangely mesmerized by the Indian dancer guy. Reminds me of Napoleon Dynamite's dance.

Can't believe that creepy guy made it through again. (They didn't show his act last night, but the first night he had two cat girls on leashes or something. Really gave me the creeps that guy.)

I was bummed that the Glamazons didn't make it. They didn't sound as good last night, so I understood why. But I really wanted to see them stay for a while.

I saw lastnight too. It made me not want to watch. Im not sure how the judges use their criteria to make decisions. Do they even take in consideration if people would spend their hard earned money on seeing these people in person? I sure wouldn't spend money on half of the variety talent. Most of those people need to go back to the freak circus

I was surprised with Boy Shakira and the Bollywood dancer getting passed on to the next round ... but it will make it easier to weed them out on the next show, I think.

Butterscotch surprised me -- she was better last night than she was the first week. Also love (was it?) Cas Healy -- very good voice and fun to watch.

The magician that sawed the guy in half (quickly) was totally amazing.

I thought they were in a group that made it? I could have sworn they did, because me DH was happy. :rotfl:

Does anyone else know? The stupid website for the show doesn't say.

You are killing me with this comment. Too funny!

Was the Indian dancer the kid who mamaged a sandwhich shop? If it was, he's a total waste of space contest wise. I swear I should audition next year and the same dance. Think they'd put me through based on my shining personality:wizard:

Okay! .... How can he be voted through to the final 20 :confused3 - along with Bollywood Boy - and some very talented people who have worked very hard be sent home?? I'm sure the producers told the judges that it would be good for ratings - well - I'm NOT watching anymore! :sad2: (Okay - I'm going to try NOT to watch!) I do LOVE  some of the other acts - but the whole thing has lost the small bit of validity that it had...

I think it's sad :guilty:

I agree. Especially after the judges were specifically talking about being headlines in Vegas. Who in the world would shell out that kind of money to see them?!!?

HUH????????:confused3 :confused3

OK, he goes on to the next round, but the baton twirler doesn't?????

I so agree! It's unfathomable! A five minute joke maybe - and even that's a BIG maybe - but "worth a Million dollars" as they're so fond of saying... NO WAY!!

I'm also very bummed they sent the 3 Hillbilly tenors home, and kept some of the other acts.

Totally absurd choices.

I love Cas Haley. Im only continuing to watch this show because of him and him alone. As far as the two (as another poster said, circus freaks), it is a sad day in TV land.

Remember the Redneck Tenors? Check out their Myspace page. They are actually singing and OMG they are really awesome. So good that I freaked at first. This cant be the same group but it is. I got chills hearing them sing Nessun Dorma

I DVR'd this and we watched it tonight.

Don't know if anyone else caught this (I don't usually read the end credits, but for some reason it caught my eye & I backed it up), but the $1 Million is paid out as an annuity over 40 years!!!! That comes out to $25,000 a year. What the heck???

Between Jerry Springer, every week one of the judges "walking off", spending more time on backstory than actually seeing the performances, and the "Million Dollar Prize", this show is becoming a joke...

Well after they sent Boy Shakira and the indian guy on to the top 20 I'm done watching. There were so many truly talented acts that didn't get to go on...these two are a waste of air... IMHO.

We were outraged that Boy Shakira and "freaky dancing guy" got through while the ventriloquist girl and the adorable singing boy didn't. Oh well... at least they didn't keep Leonid. I would have quit watching if they'd said yes to Leonid. :crazy2:

DH and I are watching, but only because there's not much else on in summer. I think it is pretty badly edited and the contrived drama is irritating.

Anyway, as a couple of you told me, I was very mistaken about the Glamazons. I must have been interrupted by a kid while they were "sounding" like it was a group they were letting go. I'm so glad they are still in the show.

Leonid, thank goodness. Heshakira, ridiculous. I can see the red-wigged hillbilly tenor beating him up.

I skipped it last night to watch some real talent on So You Think You Can Dance. And those kids really do know how to dance. NOW i just need something on Tuesdays to keep me from going back.

As for being paid over 40 yrs....WTH is this the lottery or something:confused3 If I'm in a contest to win 1 million bucks I want my million when I win it, minus the GD taxes of course, which would probably come out to 500-800 grand depending on whee I live at the time. But I want my money NOW, not when I die sheesh
