Boy Meets World

Funny to see this thread because my niece and nephew were just telling me today that they were watching the final episode with their dad (my brother) and he was tearing up. He's such a wuss :rotfl:

I was having a conversation with my sister a couple days ago. There is a huge difference between the shows that were on when I was younger (not long ago) and what's on now. When I was little TGI Friday on ABC was what we waited all week for, and all of us in the family could watch it. It was Boy Meets World, Family Matters, Full House, and I think Home Improvement. Those were family shows. Now it seems like if you want a family show at night you have to have cable, and watch either the Disney Channel, or Nick. Guess I'm getting old too (scary thought at 19), but I totally agree, that shows are not what they used to be. In my book, Boy Meets World is a classic. So are the other shows that made up Friday night television 8 or 10 years ago.

I was just talking about this last night with my friend. I watched the new show Kyle Xy (or whatever it's called), and it had some material that I would not consider family friendly. I miss the old TGI Fridays that you could watch with all ages and not be embarrassed.

I'm into these reruns too. I was amazed when they started with the first episode. There was the kid withe big glasses and Eric looked different to me...has that actor been the same guy through the whole series?

Oh I cried like a baby too during the last episode.........ALL 500 TIMES I'VE SEEN IT!!!!! I still cry everytime!!!!!

loved this show but never got to see the final episode what happened?

I LOVE the epidoe where Cory gets "bit by a werewolf" and swears he is turning into a wolf. It is so outrageously funny because it's somethign I would have worried about when I was that age. :rotfl:

I miss the days when my biggest fear was turning into a werewolf

I love it too, and we also own the DVDs!!!

Eric is hilarious...one of our favorite lines from him is when he asks Mr. Feeny if he's ever heard of a college called "Ya-lay" (Yale) and asks if it's any good. hehe

I'm just glad I found my Cory and I am his Topanga.... but we are NOT naming our children Chewbacca and Plankton! :goodvibes
