I love Sleeping Beauty - I agree that she doesn't show much personality in the movie (with all that sleeping!), but you can't beat a prince that fights a dragon for you! What does Snow White's prince do? Show up?

I'm gonna have to side with the Princess Aurora lovers...no surprise, considering my icon and avatar!

But to each his own. I never really liked Fantasia, Lady & the Tramp or 101 Dalmatians - though I must admit I have not actually sat down and watched any of those movies in a LONG time.

I have to chime in on Aurora's side...that was always my favorite princess movie. Granted, I think I liked the fairies (and Prince Phillip) better than Aurora herself, but she lived out in the woods in the middle of nowhere, which is how I felt growing up in the boondocks, so maybe I empathized with her??? I'm a fan. And besides....Maleficent is boring?????

I love Sleeping Beauty. I think that the characters are great, too. I hated Fantasia, but see it for its artistic merit. I don't know how you all could compare SB to it!

As far as Alice in Wonderland goes, now THAT is something else. We all know that the original text was written by the infamous Lewis Carroll. What many people may not know though is that it was recently discovered that Carroll was "under the influence" of certain drugs while writing it. Disney definitely did an interesting job of making it more kid-friendly. However, if you look at each scene, you can still see some moments where it makes sense that Carroll was...um...well, how do I put this? Uhh...loopy? Heh, God I loved being a lit. major!

Well, I think we will be seeing more of Lewis Carroll's actual Alice in the Johnny Depp version. From the pictures I've seen, it looks like it's going to be
alot closer to what Lewis, ummmmmmmmmmm, "envisioned."

Ok, so Aurora is not the most sparkling in the personality department, but I think that lot of other characters take care of that part. Just take a look at my signature to see one of the unsung heroes from the movie.

So I guess you can pick on my princess a bit, but I'm not going to like it very much.
