Boxer Trip Report #2: Celebrity Sightings and Questionable Behavior?

Well hello to you to Ms. Literal........you know, I was expecting a reply such as this, and I'm surprised it took 2 pages to happen (especially on this board). Regardless, I can't just let your 'digs' go without happily replying to your post, so here it goes:

1) Back Hair - many people, more men it seems, have excessive hair on their bodies. I think it's mean spirited to make fun of them because you don't happen to like the way it looks. Do you make fun of everyone who doesn't "look" like you think they should.

I think it is mean-spirited for him to come to the pool, and make me have to explain to my children that he is not an experiment for Evolution. And yes, I do make fun of people that don't look like I think they should.........well, because I'm the boss.

2) Speedo's - I have to agree are not the most flattering suits for men, but there are many woman who wear 2 pc. suits when they clearly shouldn't.

Well, listen to this little bit of irony from Miss Everyone-should-be-able-to-wear-what-they-please. So let me get this straight----back hair is OK, but chubby girls in 2-pieces are NOT? I'll take a bigger girl in a 2-piece over an escaped gorilla in a speedo.

3) Capri's and Sandles - I happened to think look great on guys.

Yes, this doesn't surprise me. I'm sure you wear the man-pants in your family.

5) Crocs - I don't personally like

Another ironic quote. But, since I want to be in the total opposite direction of your thoughts, I now LOVE Croc's.

6) ECV's - I hope you never have to use one

And if I do, I'll be looking for the lady's husband in capri's, and red speedo's with the hairy back (for some obstacle course training).

8) Attitudes toward Meal Plan - never had any "rolling eyes" given to me

Oh I'm SURE you've had rolling eyes..........just not in regards to the meal plan.

9) Fastpass Nazi's - isn't that a little harsh? What's the difference between 1 person getting 40 or having 40 people in front of you?

Ok, what about 40 people in front of you, with 40 passes each? Do you HONESTLY think there was ONE person in the EE fastpass line?

Too many people on this board recently are always downing others.Accept people for who they are (and what they wear). You don't have to like it but you don't have to make fun of them either.
Are you so perfect?

Ummmmm....its an internet board, and thats what internet boards do---they are here for perfect people to make fun of the less fortunate. Can't you find a board for people with no sense of humor? You've now wrecked my perfectly good 'humor' thread about my trip. Thank you Ms. Literal.

This whole conversation just reinforces my thinking that Pittsburgh is a waaaaaay cooler town than Philly. :thumbsup2

Thank you, and actually I'm out your way quite a bit for one of my jobsites in the Pocono's (and I train just over the border in NJ when I'm there). Nice area out your way, and I see you all have a sense of humor too. LOL.

Maybe the red nightmare was from Philly? Come on, I'm sure Boxer can laugh at his less then stellar qualities...can't we find the humor in things that are clearly humorous. I'm thinking 40 FPs at once is excessive...I clearly know that I have been the idiot stopped in the middle of Main Street that people nearly run over more than once. Go ahead! Make fun of me! I hope I give someone something to laugh at once in awhile. My dad was more than happy to give me a laugh with his capris! I'm sure my kids will get a laugh out of my eighties big hair complete with power bangs years from now. I, for one, would like to think Boxer for the laugh. Don't let the literals get you down... :smooth:

Yep - self-effacing, thick-skinned transplants from NJ/NY are the norm 'round these parts. I'm one of them.

Can't you guys out there do something to keep RollingRock in Latrobe?!? "From the glass-lined tanks of Old Newark..." just won't look the same on the back of a heavenly, cold, painted bottle. :confused3

Kinda like you just did?

never had any "rolling eyes" given to me
you have now.

he probably would have chosen a different line had that been the case.

I hear that word all too often around here. You must be in the construction field? My DH is a construction superintendent. Maybe you two can become fast friends enough for you to get us some Steelers tickets? C'mon.......you must have connections???? Actually, only DH and DS8 are Steelers fans. The rest of us are Browns fans. Makes for an interesting household come football season. 'Specially last year........BLECH!!!! I do like Jerome Bettis, though. Are you going to the Bon Jovi/Nickelback concert at the field? We got an invite to buy tickets before they went on sale to the public. Who's got connections now, huh? <wink>

Yeah, I'm the lazy guy that sits in the office surfing the DIS board---better known as a project manager. I WOULD LOVE to get you Steeler tickets, but I gotta be able to get them for myself first!!!...best bet is to wait until kickoff, and buy them off the scalpers for 1/2 price. I'm guessing you guys are right over the Ohio border, maybe Youngstown area? I just fought out in Akron and Cleveland not too long ago, and received quite the 'warm welcome' with my Steelers jersey when I came into the ring!!!

I am officially groveling at your feet. (sneaker covered I hope) :rotfl2:
Well done. Hope you are writing part 3

well, well, well. I like groveling. Maybe we should take this issue to PM to discuss what 'type' of groveling you are willing to do? LOL..

I'm just kidding............#3 installment would just be a bunch of me whining around about the bad parts of my trip, so I've been putting it off.

Hmmm........interesting. Actually we are from the Akron/Cleveland area. My DH works in Cleveland and we live in the Akron/Canton area. My brother just went to a fighting tournment (not sure what type of fighting, but it's like bare hands and all that) a few months ago. A friend of mine (who is also our local policeman) trains a guy from around here that travels all over doing this fighting thing. It's probably not the same thing, but the guys name is Cody Butzer...you didn't fight him, did you? LOL!!! I know *I* wouldn't fight him for anything.....he's scary! Are you scary? :rotfl2:

I fight Muay Thai kickboxing (small gloves, kicks, knees, punches), but I also train in No Holds Barred also (what you were talking about). I fought at the POSH nightclub, so you probably know where that is at.

Anyhow, maybe this is insight for how I write my trip reports----I've been hit in the head far too many times....

I certainly do! I used to have a job (I SWEAR!) and last Christmas we had our Christmas party nearby and then we all went out to POSH and acted like teenagers again. My DH was grumbling about going until he saw how the waitresses were dressed and then he was all for sticking around!!!!!

Anyhow, maybe this is insight for how I write my trip reports----I've been hit in the head far too many times....

GET YOUR HANDS UP!!!!!!!!!!! :lmao:

Thanks for the cool trip report! Your sense of humor is right up my alley. I'm still giggling at all the remarks!

Thank you.....if you notice, all the people that posted have the same sense of humor as me-----it's just too bad I can't meet you type of people WHILE I'm at vacation........I seem to always tend to meet 'different' types, lol.

Great report! Love it and it has me laughing while I am suffering at work. I want to retire (only 30 years left) :rotfl2: I can't wait to read the rest so hurry up. :lmao:

Love your report, your sarcasm sounds just like me! Love your response to vacationwoman...couldn't have said it better myself.

sorry to report, but there will no 'part 3'..................I'm just too lazy to type it. Besides, I hate to even report that there are 'bad' times at Disney, so I'll just pretend they didn't happen.

Way to string us along and leave us hangin'. I know *I* can overlook the bad parts and would love to go again, but I'll probably never get my DH to go back so that was my one and only trip I guess. Unless I can get rid of HIM........now that's an idea......... :moped: Oh wait, but then I'd have to get a job, right? Who's lazy now? :lmao:

Do you have your next trip planned?
