Im a few days out before we leave to Disney for the wedding :cool1: and Im just wondering, what type of box/container did everyone use to store their wedding items at Frank's? Would a regualr cardboard box suffice? TIA! :goodvibes

We have plastic containers that can be stacked safely without anything happening to the contents since there is a lot of fragile stuff in there.

Also they need to make their way back to us in the end for some items. These boxes keep their own lids at all times and hold plenty of items, plus you can see what's inside.

I have seen several brides bringing the same type of containers into Francks with lists taped on top of what goes on each box, etc, looks like a plan to me!

We bought 4 at Costco, a couple to hold things for Francks, others for welcome bag goodies, but we will be using cardboard boxes we get from Costco to transport and keep the finished welcome bags when we need to take them to the designated hotels so we don't have to worry about them.

After the whole thing is over the boxes will be used for storage.

Forgot to add: We are driving, so we don't need to worry about mailing any of the stuff or making sure we don't exceed weight requirements or have to tape/secure lids.

That really might make a big difference on how to approach this.

I used a plain cardboard box for my favors and the few things for the tables. We taped instructions to the top about what goes where and everything was perfect when we got to the reception.

The box was returned to us with any extra stuff and we also packed the guestbook and cake topper in it that Disney floral provided for us.

We actually ended up using a carryon since the day before the trip my parent's car broke down and we needed to take everything with us on the plane. Our planner was totally fine with it and I think it actually made it easier to take after the wedding.

Oh good questions. I was told that things like our take out boxes already needed to be set up and ready to go...So, I think I'll use a cardboard box...it's collapsable and light weight...so I can get it on the plane in my carry on...otherwise I might use one of those re-usable grocery bags that is what everything is in now...:confused3

Does anyone know where boxes can be bought around Disney?

There are several CVS, Walgreens, a rather new Target and a Walmart close by! If you have a rental car you should be able to find some, no problem.

Good question BecBennet! For us, my mom was kind enough to drive the bulk of our things down ~ its all in "banker boxes" but Im still not sure if I can just had those over...so in the event that I cant, nice to know there are stores around.

I'm thinking if I can find some sturdy ones I can use them to ship stuff home afterwards. :confused3

I think this the address for the Super Target:

Orlando SW Disney SuperTarget
3200 Rolling Oaks Blvd
Kissimmee, FL 34747
(321) 677-3971

DH and I drove over there to check it out on our last visit, just in case we needed any groceries or supplies during our next trip. It is the closest store to AKL, so it suits us just fine and getting there is super easy and doesn't require tolls. We will also give this info to our guests. It is in a new shopping plaza too, very nice.

I bought some Fed Ex boxes (at the Fed Ex store) and shipped them to myself at the Contemporary. I shipped them only halfway full, one had mostly packing peanuts in it. They arrived in great condition and we used them to ship the dress, all the wedding stuff and a bunch of souvenirs back to our house. Again, all arrived home in great condition. It was really easy since we were staying at the Contemporary and they have the business center right there.
