The gifts leaving the house - yes - at the last minute..

The ones under the tree? Nope.. DD's cat pulls them off and eats them..

Bows, ribbons, curly-q's , pom poms, brick-a-brack, ALWAYS!
I hate naked presents!:)

I don't use the stick-on bows at all. I keep them around for DH, otherwise his presents would never have bows. I like to use raffia, cloth ribbons, or curly ribbon. I collect spools of that wire ribbon and use them. In fact, I save them from year to year--they never wear out!

DD's cat would find a way to eat all of that as well.. :(

Always :thumbsup2! I'm a sucker when it comes to gift wrapping. ;)
My weakness is beautiful paper and colorful bows, ribbons, tulle, etc. My Mom says the same thing every gift I give her "It's too pretty to unwrap"!! :rotfl2:

When I was younger (20's to mid 40's), I really went all out with my gifts.. Every single one was wrapped in several layers of white tissue paper.. Then I would take Christmas stencils and draw designs on them - which were colored in with magic markers.. I would attach bows; curly ribbon; candy canes; etc.. It would take me an hour to do ONE gift - LOL.. No one ever wanted to unwrap them and destroy all my hard work, but I really enjoyed every single minute of it..:lovestruc

Same thing here. Only the ones out the door get a pretty bow. No one here even notices. This will be our first Christmas with a cat, I can hardly wait to see her climb my 12 foot tree. I guess I might as well just keep the ladder in the house.

Most gifts that leave the house are in gift bags...so nothing extra there.

The gifts at home...I LOVE to use the wire-edged ribbon. And, as a PP mentioned, they last a long time. And, after Christmas, they go on cleance at Michael's for about 90% off.

::yes:: Bows, ribbons, curlies and shredded.
Home made and store bought stickies.
And also little ornament type things (that is the way I use ornaments that are leaving the tree for good).
I love wrapping and decorating.
None of the cats care anymore....we had one that loved the curly ribbon.

Yup, even on gift bags there are bows or at least ribbons all curled up. :)

Same here..both cats like to chew on the bows. DH has not learned his lesson however. He insists on putting them on all the gifts and then I get the joy of cleaning up bow bits:)

It is funny, but my cat always singled out one present and that would be the one she would bother with the entire season. Removing bows, chewing on paper, etc. And it wasn't like it had a "scent" last year it was a Wii game she bothered with. So, I can put bows and stuff on my packages in advance, I just have to keep my eyes out for the "chosen" one :rotfl:

We have another cat that we got at the end of January last year, so it will be interesting to see what she does!

Gift bags, bows and curly ribbon oh my...yes on everything out the door and some of the kids stuff under the tree. Gotta have the stick on bows if you have toddlers so they can stick em to their head and us moms can take a pic:cutie:

Heck, I do that to my teenagers:lmao:

I must be the only one that does not want a single bow on my gifts. If you can get a ribbon around the gift, so that the gifts can still be stacked - not an issue.

DH use to put bows on, then complain that they got smushed. Told him if he could figure out how to stack the gifts with the bows on, then more power to him. But until then, it's either no bows or you get smushed ones. He never could figure out how to stack all of our gifts without smushing, so bows are one less expense we have.

And when I say stack, we are talking at times enough shirt boxes that they are stacked 2 boxes wide, 2 boxes deep, and 7 boxes high. And that doesn't include, the bigger coat and/or bulky sweater boxes.

:rotfl: I like to stick bows to dd2 butt or slip a squeaky dog toy down there so when she falls on her but tocks...she sqeaks and doesn't know where its coming from:lmao:

I usually spend more time on the wrap than on buying the gift. I LOVE wire ribbon and it looks so pretty and Christmassy. And yes, like a PP said, they don't wear out so I can re-use them.

All gifts, whether they stay here or go out somewhere, must have bows and/or ribbons. I love pretty wrapping paper and coordinating the bows and ribbons, and sometimes I'll add a small Christmas ornament to the package as well.

As far as the bows getting smushed when stacking the boxes, I put the bows in the corners so I can still stack them. I stack them in a criss-cross fashion so the bows don't get smushed at all.

No bows at my house. I mostly use gift bags and don't bother with ribbons on them either. The cat has a field day with stuff like that and it isn't worth having him getting spastic and knocking over the Christmas tree jumping around.
